Tetrastigma hemsleyanum, a traditional Chinese medicinal plant with anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer, and anti-tumor properties, faces increasing abiotic stress due to climate change, agricultural chemicals, industrialization. This study investigated how three factors influence antioxidant enzyme activity, MDA levels, DPPH free radical scavenging capacity, chlorophyll, carotenoids, active compounds, gene expression in different T. hemsleyanum strains. The comprehensive evaluation indicates that the ZJWZ strain holds potential as preferred parental material for future resistance breeding. Furthermore, PAL was strongly positively correlated flavonoid phenol contents, highlighting its role response through phenylpropanoid-flavonoid pathway. contributes standardization of production breeding superior strains hemsleyanum. Chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.), through a series of morphological, physiological, biochemical, and molecular changes, would tolerate abiotic stresses such as water deficiency. Accordingly, two separate experiments were conducted to investigate phytochemical morphophysiological traits various candidate chickpea genotypes in response drought stress. In the first experiment, morphological evaluated by maintaining pots at 70% holding capacity (WHC) applying gradual stress (to 50% 25% WHC) four- six-week-old seedlings. second stressed plants exposed progressive for biochemical measurements, while control irrigated WHC. The highest photosynthetic use efficiency (9.94 µmolCo2/µmolH2o) under belonged MCC552 genotype, followed MCC696 genotype with 7.25. chlorophyll content (SCMR) was recorded MCC537 (0.99 µg/cm²), MCC352 (0.89 µg/cm²). deepest root depth (70.83 cm) observed MCC537, (69.36 cm). This study investigated the response of watermelon seedlings to drought stress by assessing growth, physiological, and biochemical indices using a pot-based continuous method. Drought indices, phenotypic plasticity membership function values were calculated, followed correlation analysis, principal component cluster comprehensively evaluate resistance 13 genotypes. The results revealed that significantly reduced fresh dry weights, root length, area, volume, tips, forks seedlings. Background In recent years, more severe droughts have occurred frequently in many parts of the world, drought stress is primary abiotic factor restricting growth and quality flue-cured tobacco. Therefore, screening dryland cultivation-compatible tobacco varieties will help reduce negative impact drought. Methods Tobacco were selected: Qinyan 96 (Q96), Zhongyan 101 (Z101), Yunyan 87 (Y87), 116 (Y116). A pot experiment was conducted with four water supply gradients: sufficient, mild stress, moderate stress. Foxtail millet (Setaria italica L.) is an important crop grown worldwide as a food and fodder owing to its potential nutritional feed values. High-efficiency herbicide varieties crucial achieving efficient weeding ensuring successful foxtail production. Herbicides affect several morphological physiological indicators of millet. In this study we aimed evaluate the damage caused by herbicides, improve their effectiveness, select that accurately reflect resistance in Jingu 21, which has largest planting area Shanxi province even whole China, selected experimental material be sown field 2022. A total 31 herbicides were applied, 21 traits, including morphological, physiological, yield-component measured assess resistance. Principal component analysis was employed transform these conventional traits into seven independent comprehensive indexes. These indexes screened using regression analysis, resulting selection following indicators: surface second leaf from top, peroxidase activity, catalase malondialdehyde content, chlorophyll (a + b), grain weight per ear, yield. The frequent occurrence of localized and seasonal droughts has caused severe economic losses in maize production South China. To promote sustainable production, selecting breeding drought-tolerant varieties is vital for addressing water scarcity. Drought stress affects all aspects crop morphological performance. In this study, the performance 285 inbred lines under drought was investigated using D-value analysis, correlation principal component cluster analysis stepwise regression analysis. All indicators were significantly different regular treatment compared to treatment. Specifically, survival rate, root fresh weight, dry plant root/crown ratio, weight used as drought-tolerance evaluation. Furthermore, line CML323 drought-sensitive CB2-49-1 screened by comprehensively evaluating D values. exhibits higher leaf relative content, chlorophyll proline ascorbate peroxidase activity while having lower malondialdehyde consequently demonstrating excellent tolerance.
