Abstract Lettuce ( Lactuca sativa L.), a widely cultivated leafy green, is valued for its rich content of bioactive compounds, including folates, vitamins, tocopherols, ascorbic acid, and antioxidants. This study aimed to evaluate the effects amino acid supplementation on growth nutrient hydroponically grown lettuce. A greenhouse experiment using completely randomized design (CRD) was conducted, with three replications plants per replication. There were 4 treatments (T 0 (Control), T 1 (Methionine 20 mg/L), 2 (Tryptophan 220 mg/L, 3 (Glycine 200 mg/L) this Growth parameters, biomass, leaf length, width, area, measured four weeks after transplantation. L-methionine resulted in significant improvement plant growth, 23.60% increase biomass 31.41% area. Conversely, L-tryptophan treatment led substantial reductions 98.78% decrease biomass. Nutrient analysis revealed that treatments, especially methionine, enhanced nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium tissues. These results suggest has positive effect both uptake hydroponic lettuce, while L-glycine negatively affect development. The differential responses may be attributed their distinct roles metabolism, methionine enhancing sulfur-containing compounds proteins essential tryptophan glycine could disrupt metabolic pathways. Future research should explore mechanisms underlying these optimal concentrations maximizing lettuce production density.
