Effect of organic and inorganic fertilization on the growth and yield of Gossypium hirsutum L. in Ecuador

(Gossypium
hirsutum
L.)
has
a
significant
impact
on
the
global
economic
and
agricultural
sectors,
with
its
productivity
being
closely
linked
to
nutrient
management
sustainability
production
system.
objective

study

evaluate

randomized
block
design

factorial
arrangement,

two
nitrogen
sources

Phenological,
morphometric,
yield-related
variables
were
measured,
along
foliar
concentrations

results
indicated
that
urea
promoted
greater
vegetative
yield,
while
enhanced
potassium
uptake.

did
not
produce
statistically
differences
compared
control
treatment
across
all
evaluated
variables,
as
it
significantly
increased
yield.
Moreover,
interaction
between

Organic
plant

effective
and
environmentally
benign,
since
it
utilizes
cheap
frequently
available
harmful
organic
waste
material
by
converting
into
useful
products.
This
study
was
conducted
in
cotton
crop
(cv.
SAU-1)
to
test
the
efficacy
of
a
novel
potassium
(K)
enriched,
L-tryptophan
blended
fertilizer,
developed
from
fruit
vegetable
waste.
field
experiment
laid
out
randomized
complete
block
design,
involving
single
integrated
application
six
varying
doses
inorganic
K
fertilizers,
i.e.
00-00
(control),
30-00,
00-30,
30-30,
60-00,
00-60
kg
ha-1,
with
three
repeats.
The
received
recommended
nitrogen
(N)
phosphorus
(P)

respectively).
Overall,
fertilization
showed
significant
enhancement
stem
diameter,
number
sympodia,
bolls,
seed
yield

78%,
respectively),
accumulation
N,

results
revealed
that
fertilizer
equal
amounts
(30-30
ha-1)
enhanced
nutrient
more
than
any
other
treatment.
correlation
analysis
suggested
positively
influenced
accumulation,
especially
K,
plants,
which
turn,
promoted
its
various
growth
traits
ultimately
led
increased
yield.
We
conclude
K-enriched,
(30
ha-1
each)
enhance
growth,
yield,
improves
nitrogen,
use.
Further
experiments
are
warranted
validate
these
results.
