Scientific and reasonable vegetation restoration plays a pivotal role in enhancing soil quality, boosting ecosystem services, ensuring the long-term stable operation of photovoltaic (PV) power stations desert regions. To elucidate response mechanisms under different implemented PV located sandy areas, this study selected plant Duguitala Township Hobq Desert as representative research site. A systematic evaluation was conducted on effects four artificial strategies, namely, Leymus chinensis (LC), Glycyrrhiza uralensis (GU), Artemisia ordosica (AO), Hedysarum scoparium (HS) panels between panels. This analysis aimed to clarify influence approaches quality regions their underlying mechanisms. The findings revealed that these measures significantly impacted texture, bulk density (BD), porosity (SP), water content, retention capacity. Specifically, LC GU markedly improved physical structure capacities. Vegetation substantially enhanced nutrient accumulation, with achieving highest levels multiple indices (total nitrogen (TN), total phosphorus (TP), available potassium (AK)), HS exhibiting level (AP), demonstrating superiority (TK). These diverse strategies exhibited potential advantages improving fertility promoting cycling at locations index (SQI) showed effectiveness ranked GU>LC>HS>AO>CK. not only provides robust theoretical support for ecological plants, but also offers practical experience applicable efforts similar environments, thereby possessing significant value.
