Abstract There is a lack of estimates prevalence rates Internet gaming disorder (IGD) and (GD) among young adults in Singapore. Consequently, the current study aimed to examine IGD GD, their relationships with known correlates. Participants were representative sample 1008 They completed instruments that assess IGD, motivations, negative emotional states, sleep quality. The results showed rate 10.3% for 5.0% GD. Males had higher GD (14.6% 7.2%) than females (6.2% 2.8%). Furthermore, participants or reported time, scores on quality counterparts no this compared other global studies suggest problematic social issue Known correlates relating gender, emotions confirmed study. finding better was inconsistent previous could be due use single item Limitations include cross-sectional correlational design. Understanding the connection between parental wellbeing and its impact on childhood depression is crucial in order to develop targeted interventions support systems that can mitigate potential long-term effects mental health. This study focuses examining properties of an Arabic translation a questionnaire called Short Mood Feelings Questionnaire Parent Version (SMFQ-P) as preliminary step toward validating culturally relevant screening tool for Lebanon. A total 502 parents, recruited through snowball method, took part survey with age 36.24 years (SD ± 8.29). Among them 74.5% were females 88.8% married 72.9% had completed university level education. The children's mean was 7.95 1.14 years. SMFQ-P evaluated using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), reliability measures, correlations distress Depression Anxiety Stress Scale-8 (DASS-8). Confirmatory (CFA) demonstrated excellent fit one-factor model scores (RMSEA = 0.059, 90% CI [0.049, 0.070]; SRMR 0.034; CFI 0.967; TLI 0.960), standardized loadings ranging from 0.58 0.82. Male parents reported more their child than female (p .016). Parental levels (r .60, p < .001) correlated strongly scores, suggesting indirect concurrent validity. shows promise depression, offering evidence validity Lebanese context. Limitations, including reliance parent-reported lack direct child-report validation, should be addressed future studies.

Background: Several instruments are currently used to assess Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) -induced psychological distress, including the 22-item Impact of Event Scale-Revised (IES-R). The IES-R is a self-administered scale post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). current study aimed examine construct validity IES-R, based on Rasch model, with COVID-19-related data, as well test multilevel within and among countries during pandemic crisis. Methods: A multi-country web-based cross-sectional survey was conducted utilizing IES-R. total 1020 participants enrolled in our survey, whom 999 were included analyses. Data analyzed using modeling confirmatory factor analysis (MCFA). Results: results demonstrated that satisfactory instrument five-point Likert scale, asserting its 22 items significant contributors assessing PTSD unidimensional covered by MCFA confirmed three factors, intrusion, avoidance, hyperarousal, demonstrates adequate at within- among-country levels. However, Akaike information criterion (AIC) model determined 16-item better than Conclusion: suggested reliable screening for measuring related COVID-19 pandemic, can be utilized provide timely health support, when needed, results.

COVID-19 has created a general state of worry and distress, especially among vulnerable groups such as those with psychiatric diagnoses. Worldwide, care provision drastically suffered during the pandemic, many patients unable to access proper care, which may have implications for increased mental health consequences in disorders (e.g., relapse suicide). This cross-sectional study used structural equation modeling investigate COVID-19-related trauma distress Arab population quarantine. Patients pre-existing (N = 168) completed an online survey that comprised Depression Anxiety Stress Scale 21 (DASS-21), Impact Event Scale-Revised (IES-R), questionnaire on attitudes/perceptions, sources information, protective measures, socio-demographic information. Rasch analysis, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), structural equation modeling (SEM) were used in data analysis.Significant differences observed between DASS-Y DASS-21, notably anxiety subscale. The proportions individuals clinical mood disorders identified by two scales demonstrated significant disparity. Both scales, following an adjustment responses, exhibited satisfactory internal consistency convergent validity, acceptance three-factor structure. Furthermore, showed superior discriminant validity relative providing more compelling evidence regarding concurrent validity.Overall, Chinese version robustness terms properties. findings provide initial from another culture.

Abstract The global trend of advanced aging comes at the cost amplified onset age-related diseases. Dementia is a common multifactorial neurodegenerative disorder, which manifests with progressive declines in cognitive functioning and ability to perform activities daily living. As polices discourage institutionalized care, family members act as primary caregivers endure increased vulnerability physical mental health problems secondary care-related changes life routine relationships. Targeting clinically significant distress earlier stages through valid brief measures may promote caregivers’ wellbeing dementia care continuity/quality. This study aimed determine optimal cutoff score Depression Anxiety Stress Scale 8-items (DASS-8) convenience sample 571 European (Mean age = 53 ± 12 years, Italian 74.4%, Swiss 25.6%) three methods. K-means clustering classified into high- low-distress clusters based on DASS-8 19. The Coronavirus Disease-19 (COVID-19) pandemic has provoked the development of negative emotions in almost all societies since it first broke out late 2019. Impact Event Scale-Revised (IES-R) is widely used to capture emotions, thoughts, and behaviors evoked by traumatic events, including COVID-19 as a collective persistent event. However, there less agreement on structure IES-R, signifying need for further investigation. This study aimed evaluate psychometric properties Arabic version IES-R among individuals Saudi quarantine settings, psychiatric patients, general public during outbreak. Exploratory factor analysis revealed that items present five factors with eigenvalues > 1. Examination several competing models through confirmatory resulted best fit six-factor structure, which comprises avoidance, intrusion, numbing, hyperarousal, sleep problems, irritability/dysphoria. Multigroup supported configural, metric, scalar invariance this model across groups gender, age, marital status. significantly correlated Depression Anxiety Stress Scale-8, perceived health status, vulnerability COVID-19, denoting good criterion validity. HTMT ratios subscales were below 0.85, discriminant values coefficient alpha three samples ranged between 0.90 0.93. In path analysis, intrusion hyperarousal had direct positive effects sleep, irritability. Numbing irritability mediated indirect avoidance. result signifies cognitive activation main driving dynamics underlying behavioral, emotional, symptoms trauma. findings support robust validity indicating sound measure can be applied wide range experiences.
