With the economic development and progress of globalization internationalization, some Chinese students start to seek overseas study opportunities China has become largest exporter international since year 2009. Abstract Drawing upon Darvin and Norton’s (2015) model of investment, this article examines how Xing Jimmy (both pseudonyms) as two male Chinese English a foreign language learners from rural migrant backgrounds negotiate their identities assemble social cultural resources to invest in autonomous digital literacies for learning the assertion legitimate place urban spaces. This study explored the social policy context for international students in UK and its implications exclusion (an inability to fully participate society). Within a rapid review literature addressing student experience, forty-two articles from Web of Science Social Research Network (SSRN) were selected through multiple screenings. Migration education most areas, followed by inequalities, work, health wellbeing, security, housing. Results demonstrated that both creates barriers inclusion (e.g. hostile environment migration/bordering practices) supports inclusion/adaption exclusion-related challenges sanctuary scholarships forced migrants, Graduate visas). With the rise of international education in Asia–Pacific, Chinese students have become a key demographic Australian universities. However, cultural differences between China and Australia often challenge these students' adaptation. Drawing inspiration from growing trend modern entertainment industry, researchers explored game-based learning approaches to address solutions various educational disciplines, including intercultural adaptation education. This study examined effectiveness using approach help improve their at top-ranking university. International students make significant contributions to the UK and Chinese international represent largest body of overseas in UK. L2 Investment in the Transnational Context: A Case Study of PRC Scholar Students in Singapore DOI Open Access

Despite growing research on mainland Chinese international students' intercultural language learning and adjustment experiences in Anglophone countries, few studies have delved into these socially constructed practices as an essential component of their study-abroad journey, especially Singapore which shares linguistic cultural affinities with China. As such, building Darvin Norton's (2015) theory investment at the intersection identity, capital, ideology, this case study focuses foreign talent students aims to understand how they invest English additional (L2) assert legitimate place transnational context. The COVID-19 pandemic has exerted a profound impact on numerous facets of our daily lives, including in higher education. International students have encountered unique challenges due to their vulnerability stemming from living abroad, cultural adjustments, language barriers, and separation families friends. This review aims examine the educational, financial, sociocultural psychological impacts experienced by international context identify areas requiring support for this group. A systematic search eight databases yielded 78 relevant papers inclusion.
