ObjectiveLoneliness is associated with adverse mental and physical health conditions increased mortality. Thus, the received a high level (odds ratio [OR]: 0.96; 95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.92–0.99) had low severe loneliness. Receiving a cancer diagnosis constitutes profoundly distressing and disconcerting experience for patients, often resulting in loss of existential meaning.
