Abstract Purpose To compare breast cancer survivors (BCS) to women without (controls) on sleep health risk factors and actigraphy-derived dimensions of (duration, maintenance, timing, regularity) examine whether the effect differs by time since diagnosis. Methods Analyses included data from 68 BCS 1042 controls who participated in actigraphy Pink SWAN sub-studies within Study Women’s Health Across Nation. control characteristics were compared using chi-square, Fisher’s exact, Wilcoxon rank sum tests. Sleep measures regressed onto status binomial logistic linear regression. The interaction between years diagnosis (< 5; ≥ 5) was tested these models before after covariate adjustment. Results There no overall differences controls; both groups experienced poor average across multiple dimensions. Physical inactivity, apnea, vasomotor depressive symptoms associated with worse groups. Total lower among than 5 (6.13 vs. 6.57 h; p = .03) but did not differ at > post-diagnosis (6.59 6.45 .32). reported greater use exogenous hormones ( < .0001) twice as likely have initiated anxiolytic .03). Conclusions shorter duration other parameters. Both health. Implications for Cancer Survivors similarly-aged experience requiring assessment treatment.

Why do employees experience work from home (WFH) differently? We draw on boundary theory to explain how WFH influences employees' work-home interface. intensity increases negative spillovers (i.e., work-to-home conflict and home-to-work conflict) positive enrichment enrichment) between the domains. Negative can be mitigated through high-quality equipment beneficial spatial conditions at home. Domain centrality predicts who benefit increased intensity. test our with a sample of 545 employees, obtained two-step random sampling procedure in city Munich/Germany during COVID-19 pandemic. find that enrichment, affecting relationship satisfaction job satisfaction. High-quality mitigates detrimental effects WFH. Employees high family reap benefits more because they enrichment. The simultaneous desirable partly why studies have found heterogenous experiences among employees.

Ever since the COVID-19 pandemic, working from home (WFH) has emerged as a common alternative work environment, but possible influence on daily physical behavior (PB) (i.e., activity (PA), sedentary (SB)) remains unclear. This study aimed to examine associations between PB and environment WFH, at office (WAO)), well explore identify patterns of within each environment. An observational using dual-accelerometer system continuously assess for least 5 days was conducted. The sample consisted 55 participants providing 276 assessment. Additional demographic, contextual, psychological variables were measured via baseline questionnaire several smartphone prompts per day. To analyze effects PB, multilevel analyses For identification latent class trajectory modelling applied. Associations various PA parameters found, indicating that WFH negative effect MVPA time, steps, intensity (MET), positive short bouts (≤5 min). No any SB parameter breaks, bouts) found. Latent revealed three two WAO. Given growing prevalence health associated with MVPA, daily-tailored solutions enhance MPVA while are urgently needed.

I demonstrate that the profound change in working from home (WFH) wake of COVID-19 pandemic is concentrated among individuals with college degrees.Relative to 2015-19, number minutes worked on "post-pandemic" (August 2021-December 2022) weekdays increased by 78 for graduates; non-graduates, it was 22 minutes. The share work done at (for those who all) 22% graduates and 7% non-graduates.Average changed little either group.Daily time spent traveling (e.g., commuting) fell 21 6 non-graduates.I examine how time-use patterns relative non-graduates over same period.College experience a shift eating out home, an increase free time, children, latter effect being fathers. Thus, while gender gap childcare may be diminished WFH revolution, gaps children's outcomes parents' attainment exacerbated it.

To assess the association between work location and movement behaviours (physical activity [PA], screen time, sleep) adherence to Canadian 24-Hour Movement Guidelines (24-H Guidelines) among workers during Covid-19 pandemic. Using cross-sectional data from 2021 Community Health Survey (n = 10,913 working adults 18–75 years), primary was categorized as: worked outside home at a fixed (fixed workplace), (telework), no (non-fixed workplace). Recreational, transportation occupational/household PA, as well leisure time sleep duration were self-reported. Logistic regression assessed associations behaviour recommendations, adjusting for covariates. Compared workplace, those teleworking reported more recreational PA (21.1 vs 17.0 min/day, p < 0.0001) (7.2 7.1 h/night, 0.026) likely meet recommendations (adjusted odds ratio [aOR] 1.28, 95%CI: 1.08–1.51) 24-H (aOR 1.25, 1.04–1.51). workplaces, non-fixed workplaces occupational (62.7 32.8 less (2.5 2.7 h/day, 0.021), recommendation 1.46, 1.15–1.85) 1.38, 1.09–1.75). Results suggest that varies by location, should be considered when developing strategies promote healthy behaviours. Future studies could explore hybrid arrangements, longitudinal study designs.

Background : The association of working from home (WFH) with physical activity (PA) and sedentary behavior (SB) has been explored; however, this during periods without stringent measures to combat coronavirus disease 2019 is undercharacterized. Particularly, few studies have evaluated the potential effect modification on its associations. Therefore, study aimed investigate associations WFH frequency accelerometer-measured PA SB, along modifiers, among Japanese white-collar workers later pandemic period. Methods A cross-sectional involving 1133 residing in Tokyo metropolitan area was conducted between April 2022 March 2023. through a self-report questionnaire, while SB weekdays were measured using triaxial accelerometer. Linear regression models adjusting for confounders used examine SB. Results Regardless intensity, individuals who worked at home, even 1 2 days per week, demonstrated lower levels higher as compared those did not ( P < .05). For example, difference never ≥5 week approximately 70 minutes/day total about 4000 steps/day step counts. Associations decreased more pronounced older, female, less educated, sales service work, nonregular staff, precontemplating changes exercise eating habits. Conclusions We report that associated increased several subgroups.
