Background Neuromuscular diseases (NMDs) encompass a diverse range of disorders that impair muscle function, often leading to progressive weakness and loss independence. Objective This systematic review aims synthesize research on how virtual reality (VR) gamified rehabilitation approaches enhance patient engagement outcomes, ultimately reshaping practices for individuals with NMDs. Methods Studies were identified from an online search PubMed, Web Science, Embase databases time 2014 2024. has been registered Open OSF (n) RCNHE. Results Robotics, VR, biofeedback, in turn, enriched by gamification, represent the improvement motor motivation, psychosocial well-being within concerning Using emerging technologies seems promising improve engagement, delay functional decline, quality life. Conclusions VR gamification provide potential outcomes patients suffering The future will doubtless have more subjects included optimization interventions best personalize treatments, hence practice recommendations can be made towards wider clinical implementations.

Despite the importance of Executive functions, Divergent thinking, and intelligence in 21st century society, few studies have analyzed these variables childhood adolescence. The present study aimed to examine whether functions thinking a developmental perspective predict intelligence. A non-clinical sample 159 adolescents (78 girls 81 boys) between 12 16 years age (M=13.29 years; SD=1.17) participated study. Three tests were administered: (1) Ice cream Virtual Reality Test measure functions; (2) PIC-J evaluate thinking; (3) WISC-V cognitive variables. found be developmental, as was verbal fluency creative component. However, only predicted These findings provide information about how develop may contribute helping students' talents. They also highlight learning more thinking.

This study aims to establish normative data for participants aged 17 80 who completed the Nesplora Ice Cream test, a virtual reality tool designed assess executive functions. The objective is provide comprehensive reference evaluating function performance in healthy adults across different age groups. A total of 419 (51% female) were recruited from nine locations Spain. Trained evaluators administered test. utilized empirical analysis identify key factors related function, focusing on planning, learning, and flexibility. Cluster was employed define groups each factor: 17-40, 41-61, 62-80 planning; 17-44, 45-61, learning; 17-20, 21-36, 37-80 revealed three main factors-planning, flexibility-that characterize performance. No significant gender differences found. Descriptive provided based gender. Confirmatory factor supported three-factor structure Additionally, validity, reliability, internal consistency test included. These are valuable assessing functions an ecologically valid way. findings robust point studying early identification dysfunction impact neurodegenerative conditions clinical settings. Further research needed evaluate test's sensitivity specificity populations. norms enable development timely, personalized interventions individuals showing impairments.

This study analyses Executive Functions (EF) and Creativity among neurodivergent students -including with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Dyslexia, Intellectual Disability (ID), Giftedness-, a group Neurotypical development. A sample of 181 secondary school participated in the study. was assessed by using PIC-J test, focusing on verbal figural components divergent thinking, while EF were evaluated through Nesplora Ice-Cream, virtual reality tool assessing flexibility, working memory, inhibition. Results showed statistically significant differences Verbal Creativity, especially Originality: ADHD outperformed their peers, those ID lowest scores. Although no emerged Figural scores Elaboration or details, whereas Dyslexia exhibited high levels Originality, similar to peers. Concerning EF, had highest Interference Perseveration, indicating poorer Flexibility. In contrast, Gifted performed better than other groups Working Memory, did not exhibit special difficulties EF. These findings emphasize importance personalized interventions for Neurodivergent students, that recognize capitalize unique strengths addressing specific challenges.

Introduction The term emotional eating (EE) describes the tendency to eat as an automatic response negative emotions and has been linked anxiety depression, common symptoms among university population. EE tendencies have also associated with excessive internet use increase in alcohol intake young students. Methods aim of this study is examine relationship between towards other health-compromising behaviors, such or high intake. Additionally, it aims investigate association these risky behaviors participants’ performance level a virtual reality (VR) task that assesses their executive functioning, assess impulsivity levels depression. Results results associate (r = 0.332; p < 0.01). but not consumption. Alcohol consumption was anxiety, impulsivity, related altered functions VR task: flexibility working memory explained 24.5% variance. By contrast, overuse were function anxiety. Impulsivity depressive accounted for 45% variance EE. Depression, trait 40.6% overuse. Discussion reveal distinct patterns psychological neuropsychological alterations compared use. These findings underscore significant differences contributing factors addictions substance-free addictive behaviors. For deeper understanding various college students, further research recommended.
