Parents vary in their gradual adaptation to the demands of caring for an autistic child. Their experiences can be positive, negative, or a combination both, depending on severity cases and various personal social factors. Cross-cultural comparisons aid understanding how contextual factors, such as availability health services, cultural family relationships distribution care burden, may influence caregiving experience. However, there is limited amount cross-cultural research this topic, which almost exclusively quantitative.
