Abstract Background Burnout is an increasing public health concern. Its prevalence has extended across diverse professions globally, posing significant challenges to individuals, organizations, and society. This phenomenon undermined employee well-being, productivity, organizational effectiveness, making it a critical concern in contemporary work environments. The present study aimed examine the adaptation assess validity of Persian version Assessment Tool (BAT). Methods process included translation back-translation BAT. Data were collected on sample 580 teachers using convenience sampling. BAT-Persian Utrecht Work Engagement Scale administered collect data. reliability, factorial structure BAT-C BAT-S, convergent discriminant engagement explored. Results Confirmatory factor analysis supported four-factor for core dimensions (BAT-C; exhaustion, mental distance, emotional impairment, cognitive impairment), two-factor secondary (BAT-S; psychological distress, psychosomatic complaints). In second-order model, item loadings four factors ranged from 0.35 0.85, two BAT-S 0.63 0.89. versions showed good internal consistency (respectively, α = 0.95 0.90). Additional evidence supports BAT-GR. BAT‐C its scales negatively correlated with (i.e., vigor, dedication, absorption). Moreover, BAT‐S dimensions. Conclusions provided that Iranian BAT represents reliable valid tool measuring burnout context. A assessing workplace enables early detection allowing timely intervention support. means identifying signs symptoms stages can prevent more severe consequences such as absenteeism, reduced or turnover.
