Abstract Background Academic mental health research is critical to understanding, treating and preventing poor health. Researchers often have their own lived experience of a condition, but despite potential exposure distressing material, the work-related quality life researchers not systematically supported in UK universities. This study aimed quantitatively characterise experiences, professional workplace support needs this group. Methods academic ( n = 254) answered an online survey March 2024. Introduction The COVID-19 pandemic has worsened global mental health, thereby burdening health services and raising burnout risk among professionals. Online therapy may be an optimal solution to reduce risk, ensuring flexibility for psychotherapists the continuity of care patients. This study investigates link between online therapy, focusing on environmental sensitivity exploring tailored solutions while maintaining healthcare performance. Method Participants were 95 French (89% females), aged from 24 59 years ( M = 37.13, SD 7.75). administered Maslach Burnout Inventory, Highly Sensitive Person Scale, a questionnaire assessing their professional activity.
