Abstract Background: To make confident referrals to link worker social prescribing (LWSP) programs, GPs and other health providers need evidence of their overall effectiveness the value relationships activities that contribute outcomes. This research aimed examine these questions in data collected from participants a LWSP program over an 18-month follow-up period. Methods: Sixty-four (Mage = 53.59) enrolled arm controlled trial provided at three timepoints: baseline (T1, n=64), +8-weeks (T2, n=50) +18-months (T3, n=30) on group activities, relationship quality with community facilitators, outcomes loneliness, distress, wellbeing, trust health. There has been a rapid increase in the delivery of social prescribing globally recent years. However, lack theoretical framework, diversity interventions and outcome measures, ongoing resources to provide services equitably coordinated research agenda make it challenging for practitioners know how best put into practice. This paper summarises perspectives from 29 UK Australian authors sets course future implementation four key areas: theory, measurement, resourcing equity, discovery (big questions on agenda). Eight recommendations are made: (1) multilevel or systems theory frameworks should inform programme design implementation; (2) methods be developed collaboration with participants service providers; (3) core set measures complemented by framework‐specific measures; (4) factors at multiple levels included ensure comprehensive understanding experience value prescribing; (5) funding models that community sector organisations providing programmes well supported; (6) stakeholders could advocate equitable through dialogue knowledge translation; (7) focus barriers enablers engagement marginalised populations; (8) link workers’ experiences prescribing. Abstract Background Mental health problems are an increasing challenge for primary healthcare. It puts strain on the healthcare professionals with limited time and resources. In several countries, can refer patients mental issues to structured arts programmes, namely Arts Prescription (AoP). This study explores qualitative findings from a 3-year Prescription. Methods Primary were recruited participated in 10-week group-based programme, twice week 2 h (22 sessions over 10 weeks, comprising mixture of cultural activities facilitated by professionals) referred 18 different centres. Twenty-eight participants volunteered be interviewed using semi-structured one-to-one approach. The transcribed interviews analysed thematic analysis. Results Three themes identified as Social community & Connectedness, Self-efficacy Routine Structure. Through positive effects psychosocial wellbeing is described reported connecting their experiences participating programme including finding common grounds, feeling healthier more human, inner resources, establishing new routines. Conclusions highlight potential programmes promote holistic wellbeing, facilitate personal growth through engagement salutogenic approaches.

Abstract Introduction Social needs such as housing, employment, food, income and social isolation are having a significant impact on individuals, families communities. With variability in care systems internationally, it important that co‐designed key stakeholders ensure they can be sustained within local systems. Methods This Australian case study provides detailed description of process undertaken co‐design service model regional area. Four workshops were undertaken, two professionals members. The project followed an iterative resourcing, planning, recruiting, sensitising, facilitation, reflection building for change across workshops. Results Through this process, able successfully region. Link worker social prescribing programs are gaining recognition in Australia for addressing health and needs outside routine medical care. The evaluation of these is essential informing future programs, research evolving policy. However, diverse outcome measures present challenges benchmarking across link programs. This rapid review delves into the realm of social prescribing as a novel approach to suicide prevention by addressing determinants health. Through an exploration various databases including MEDLINE, PsychInfo, WILEY, and Sage, total 3,063 articles were initially identified potentially relevant research. Following meticulous screening process, 13 included in final review, shedding light on potential effectiveness impact interventions prevention. Key findings indicate need for additional monitoring support individuals at risk suicide, emphasising warm referrals sustained connections after referral enhance efficacy models. Abstract The UK's National Health Service has introduced Social Prescribing initiatives to tackle loneliness and ill‐health, yet it lacks a theoretical foundation evidence base for Prescribing's effectiveness. Recent research applies the Identity Approach (SIAH) explain health benefits, emphasising how social connection unlocks health‐enhancing psychological mechanisms. This systematic review therefore aims assess UK‐based programmes designed boost alleviate loneliness, examining programme efficacy role of SIAH processes in outcomes. Following PRISMA guidelines, narrative synthesis articles published from May 5, 2006 (when prescribing was first NHS), April 8, 2024, conducted, their quality assessed using CONSORT‐SPI (2018). Of these programmes, 10 employed mixed‐methods design, 8 qualitative 1 quantitative service evaluation, totalling 3,298 participants. Results indicate that value lies rather than quantity connections, with meaningful connections fostering shared identity, perceived support self‐efficacy, latter which sustains engagement post‐programme. useful tool mapping findings onto common framework highlight key proponents.
