Depression has become a major burden of mental illness in our young people, and shows an increasing trend year by year. Relevant research demonstrated that adverse life events serve as significant risk factors for depression among college students. Few been conducted on the underlying mechanisms through which negative influence students, and no relevant researches have carried out vocational undergraduates. A survey was 1457 undergraduates using four instruments: The Adolescent Self-Rating Life Events Checklist (ASLEC), Intolerance Uncertainty Scale-12(IUS-12), Career Decision-making Difficulties Questionnaire (CDDQ), and Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9). Findings showed detection rate 53.6%. findings suggest dual impact depression, both directly indirectly three distinct pathways: (1) independent mediation intolerance uncertainty(IU), (2) career decision-making difficulty(CDD), (3) serial IU CDD. Increasing their tolerance to uncertainty resolving difficulties making decisions may help alleviate symptoms.
