Objective: The objective of this study was to investigate the relationship between physical activity levels and depression among middle-aged premenopausal women in Malaysia. Methods: A cross-sectional conducted a community centre, workplace, healthcare institution. Beck Depression Inventory-II questionnaire used assess severity symptoms. Multiple logistic regression analysis determine association amount depression. Results: Compared those with low levels, participants moderate had 25% lower odds experiencing (adjusted OR = 0.75, 95% CI [0.60, 0.92], p 0.05). Participants high also 35% odds. Conclusions: This highlights significant inverse level exercise Malaysian women. Encouraging regular as part lifestyle interventions may serve an effective strategy for preventing managing depressive symptoms population. Further research is needed explore underlying mechanisms inform targeted promoting activity, thus positive mental health outcomes.

This study investigates the influence of changes in physical activity (PA) patterns on depression risk across different socioeconomic statuses (SES) Korea. Utilizing National Health Insurance Data (NHID) from over 1.2 million individuals during 2013–2016, we matched medical aid beneficiaries with health insurance beneficiaries, excluding those prior or incomplete PA data. Changes moderate-to-vigorous (MVPA) were categorized into 16 groups, and incidence was tracked 2019 to 2021. After adjustment, consistently showed higher risks compared enrollees same change patterns. For inactive, 1.68 times (aOR, 1.68; 95% CI, 1.37–2.05). Those who increased inactivity 3–4 per week had a 3.33 3.33; 1.72–6.43). Additionally, 2.64 for increasing 1–2 ≥5 2.64; 1.35–5.15), 2.83 engaging 2.83; 1.35–5.94). Across overall patterns, faced risks, increases 1.80 activity, continuous inactivity, 1.34 decreased However, very active group, no significant difference observed between two groups. Limitations include potential bias self-reported NHIS data not fully capturing severity. The findings underscore impact SES mental health, high levels potentially mitigating SES-related risk.

To investigate the association among multidimensional (Digital engagement, DE; Digital devices, DD; and purpose, DP) digital technology use depression in older Chinese, considering social participation as a mediator physical activity level (PAL) moderator. Data on 5,744 participants (aged≥60) were extracted from China Health Retirement Longitudinal Study 2020 dataset. Depression was assessed using 10-item Center for Epidemiologic Studies Scale. Logistic regression examined between depression. The PROCESS program's Model 4 evaluated mediating role of participation, while 7 moderating PAL. negatively associated with (DE, OR= 0.722, 95%CI: 0.609, 0.858; DD, 0.739, 0.634, 0.860; DP, 0.916, 0.881, 0.952). Various dimensions exerted direct effects scores 85.87% -0.638, -1.036, -0.240), 86.09% (DD, -0.526, -0.844, -0.208), 87.82% (DP, -0.173, -0.259, -0.087), respectively, mediated 14.13%, 13.91%, 12.18%. PAL positive effect first half path mediation, especially vigorous 0.591, 0.230, 0.952; 0.515, 0.206, 0.824; 0.157, 0.075, 0.239). Multidimensional showed an adults. Promoting through is lower depressive symptom scores, further strengthens this association, leading to improved mental health.

Objective Despite the known benefits of physical activity, effect habitual activity (HPA) on depression and anxiety remains unclear. This study aimed to investigate association HPA with risk among Chinese adults, consideration disease severity. Methods The participants in this multicentre cross-sectional were from nationwide survey psychology behaviour residents. Depression measured using nine-item Patient Health Questionnaire seven-item Generalised Anxiety Disorder scale. was assessed by short form International Physical Activity Questionnaire. Crude adjusted ORs their 95% CIs estimated ordinal logistic regression. Results Of 19 798 participants, 3901 (19.7%) had 8914 (45.02%) depression. Compared inactive individuals reporting low, median high volume reduced 23% (OR 0.77, CI 0.66 0.89), 21% 0.79, 0.68 0.90) 13% 0.87, 0.78 0.98), respectively, after adjustment for confounder. No significant observed. Conclusion Participation HPA, whether or volume, associated a lower compared participation, while no observed between anxiety.

Abstract Background Currently, there are many different findings on the relationship between physical activity and depression, may be differences genders. This study therefore focused gender to understand behaviour risk of depression in married individuals. Methods 15607 people China Family Panel Studies 2020 (CFPS 2020) were used populations, chi-square test, Mann-Whitney U-test, binary logistic regression explore population. Results 527 (6.64%) women at high 365 (4.76%) men depression; was associated with population, but after incorporating demographic relevant cognitive variables, negatively ( OR = 0.94, P < 0.01) not statistically significant 0.96, > 0.05). Conclusion Physical directly related women, men.
