Sleep-related eating disorder (SRED) is a non-REM parasomnia with potentially significant negative effects on general health (dangerous activities during night episodes, obesity, or metabolic syndrome, for example). Although the history of SRED encompasses more than six decades, public awareness and even mental specialists this very limited, phenomenon that hinders development research in field. Therefore, an updated review, based narrative methodology, explored available evidence found four electronic databases (PubMed, Cochrane Collaboration, Google Scholar, Clarivate/Web Science). A number 94 primary secondary reports were retrieved, investigating aspects regarding risk factors, epidemiology, clinical data differential diagnosis, structured evaluation, treatment SRED. Improvements to eating disorder (ED) care are urgently needed in the United Kingdom (UK) and around world. The aim of the present study was to find out whether there is a relationship between body dissatisfaction, orthorexia, and exercise dependence in sample amateur endurance runners, as well examine psychological variables such identity, perfectionism, focus by comparing groups obtaining profiles.
