Purpose
This
study
reviews
research
applying
Space
Syntax,
in
conjunction
with
other
methodologies,
to
explore
walkability
and
socio-spatial
relations
urban
environments,
a
particular
emphasis
on
moderate-
low-density
city
centers.
Design/methodology/approach
A
systematic
literature
review
was
conducted
following
PRISMA
guidelines,
reviewing
English-language
studies
published
from
2013
2023,
involving
introduction
context,
information
sources
search
strategy,
screening
process
application
of
eligibility
inclusion
criteria
ensure
comprehensive
evaluation
relevant
papers.
Findings
highlights
that
the
predominant
focus
has
been
high-density
centers
existing
Syntax
studies,
revealing
significant
gap
understanding
dynamics,
particularly
Furthermore,
this
found
technology-based
tools
were
most
frequently
used
past
454
instances,
compared
participatory
