The COVID-19 pandemic has led to an increase in psychological distress the general population, but contrasting results have been shown regarding its impact on symptoms clinical and non-clinical samples. Consequently, aim of present study was compare a longitudinal design (September–November 2020 February–April 2021) mental health outcomes control sample determine implications various risk protective factors this regard. A total 234 participants from population 80 psychiatric patients took part online using following measurements: Brief Symptom Checklist (BSCL); Three-Item Loneliness Scale (TILS); Resilience Scale-13 (RS-13); Functional Assessment Chronic Illness Therapy—Spiritual Well-Being Scale—Non-Illness (FACIT-Sp Non-Illness). show overall decrease active suicidal ideation as well “peace”, subscale spiritual well-being, increases passive activation sample, which did not change sample. Psychological significantly either group. Significant group effects resilience peace turned out be for negative outcomes. However, loneliness, interestingly increased only potential factor. Our highlight complex different groups demonstrating necessity further research, specifically activation. Highlighted are discussed regards spirituality (i.e., peace), is strictly related religion rather personal meaning situations one’s life, terms interventions.
