The literature has well documented the relationship between Adverse Childhood Experiences, personality traits, and well-being. However, less is known about how Benevolent Experiences (BCEs) relate to "light" traits Flourishing. study analyzed effects of BCEs on Flourishing, considering mediator role Light Triad (Kantianism, Humanism, Faith in Humanity). used a quantitative methodology with non-experimental, cross-sectional design; 410 Honduran adults responded survey, including questions regarding BCEs. On average, respondents reported 7.34 number did not vary significantly men women. specific were categorically associated subjects' sex. A higher proportion having at least one teacher who cared respondent, opportunities have good time, liking/feeling comfortable oneself. Flourishing was for participants presence largest effect size achieved difference scores those liking school as child disliked it. had significant total direct scores. Significant indirect also identified. Humanity Kantianism, mediated explained all traits. In conclusion, adult Flourishing; Humanism mediate this relationship.

Adverse Childhood Experiences and Their Influence on Psychological Distress in Adolescents in Indonesia DOI Open Access

This study explores the influence of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) on psychological distress among adolescents in Indonesia. ACEs, which encompass abuse, neglect, and household dysfunction, have been shown to affect long-term mental health outcomes significantly. The involved 924 aged 12-21, who were assessed using World Health Organization’s Questionnaire (WHO ACE-IQ) component Mental Inventory (MHI-38). A moderate positive correlation (r = 0.4755, p < 0.001) was found between ACEs distress, indicating that higher ACE scores are associated with increased levels distress. Linear regression analysis revealed explain 22.61% variability (R² 0.2261, 0.001). These findings highlight critical role shaping adolescent emphasize need for early interventions culturally tailored services support at risk. Understanding pathways through impact can inform more effective prevention intervention strategies.
