Development and Validation of a Nomogram for Predicting Suicidal Ideation Among Rural Adolescents in China

Suicidal mortality is high in rural areas, and suicidal ideation, an early psychology of behavior, particularly important for the prevention intervention suicide. This study aimed to establish a nomogram model predict high-risk groups among adolescents who might develop ideation. conducted cross-sectional survey 1900 secondary school students Xuzhou, China. The samples were randomly divided into training set (1330) validation (570), prediction was constructed using potential predictors ideation screened from Lasso-Logistic regression. validated ROC, calibration, clinical decision curves. reported rate 18.9%. regression found that emotional abuse, neglect, hostility, subjective sleep quality, daytime dysfunction, withdrawal/escape, depression significant risk factors A built above 7 predictors. area under ROC curve (AUC) our predictive 0.821 0.765 set, with corrected C-indices 0.817 0.764, respectively. Furthermore, calibration curves demonstrated good alignment ideal line (P > 0.05), analysis results indicated positive utility. this may be effective tool predicting middle students.
