There have been a significant surge in the adoption of social networks by different groups over past decade and students are no exception. These create several opportunities for university students, yet they pose number threats. Excessive use can lead to addiction these affect students' academic performance. The aim this study was investigate effect media on performance around world through systematic review meta-analysis. In meta-analysis, keywords Social Network, Addiction, Academic Performance, University Students, their suitable combinations were searched within PubMed, Web science, JISC Library Hub Discover, congress, Google scholar search engine with lower time limit until February 2022. identified sources then transferred into EndNote reference management software.
