The COVID-19 pandemic caused by SARS-CoV-2 has emerged as a major global public health concern. In November 2022, Guangzhou experienced significant outbreak of Omicron. This study presents detailed epidemiological and laboratory data on Omicron infection in general hospital between December 1, January 31, 2023. Out the 55,296 individuals tested, 12,346 were found to be positive for highest prevalence cases was observed 20 39 age group (24.6%), while lowest children aged 0 9 years (1.42%). Females had higher incidence than males, accounting 56.6% cases. peak time varied across different populations. viral load older adults infected with Omicron, indicating age-related differences. Spearman’s rank correlation analysis revealed correlations Ct values parameters hospitalized patients infection. These included CRP ( r s = 0.059, p 0.009), PT 0.057, INR 0.055, 0.013), AST 0.067, 0.002), LDH 0.078, 0.001), BNP 0.063, 0.014). However, EO (Eosinophil, −0.118, < BASO (basophil, −0.093, LY (lymphocyte, −0.069, 0.001) counts showed negative values. Although statistically significant, coefficients these indices very low. findings provide valuable insights into epidemiology infection, including variations gender groups. caution should exercised when utilizing clinical settings evaluating

China managed coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) with measures against Class B infectious diseases, instead of A in a major shift its epidemic response policies. We aimed to generate robust information on the transmission dynamics novel infection Shanxi, province located northern China, after implementation "Class management" policy. consolidated data Shanxi from December 6, 2022 January 14, 2023 through network questionnaire survey and sentinel surveillance. model SEIQHCVR was developed track curves effective reproduction number (Rt). Our estimating trends infection, coefficient determination (R2) above 90% infections, inpatients, critically ill patients. The infections as well urban rural areas peaked 20, 2022, peak inpatients patients occurring 2 3 weeks infections. By end 2023, 87.72% residents were predicted be infected, outbreak subsequently subsided. small wave COVID-19 may re-emerge at April. In less than month, Rt values positive all below 1.0. is currently low prevalence level. face possible future waves there strong need strengthen surveillance early warning.

With the continuous progress of epidemic coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) infection and constant mutation virus strain, reinfection occurred in previously infected individuals caused waves many countries. Therefore, we aimed to explore characteristics COVID-19 during period Yangzhou provide a scientific basis for assessing situation optimizing allocation medical resources. We chose severe acute respiratory syndrome 2 (SARS-CoV-2) reported locally city from January 2020 November 30, 2022. A telephone follow-up cases was conducted February March 2023 collect information. We face-to-face survey on that who met definition information clinical symptoms, vaccination status COVID-19, so on. Data were analyzed using SPSS 19.0.Among 999 eligible respondents (92.24% all participants), consisting 42.28% males 57.72% females, incidence females significantly higher than male (χ2 = 5.197, P < 0.05); ages ranged 1 91 years, with mean age 42.28 (standard deviation 22.73) years; most sufferers initially Delta variant (56.88%), followed by Omicron subvariants BA.1/BA.2 (39.52%). Among respondents, 126 (12.61%) appearing period, intervals between infections 73 1,082 days. The earlier initial occurred, increased when interval beyond year (P 0.01) .119 (94.4%) symptomatic common symptoms included fever (65.54%) cough (61.34%); compared cases, proportion reinfected 0.01). groups different doses statistically significant Fewer reinfections observed among three two 14.595, 0.001) or without =4.263, 0.039).After varied types SARS-CoV-2 strains. influenced various factors such as characteristics, vaccination, prevention policies, individual variations. As continues mutate, appropriate personal protection have practical significance reducing risk reinfection.

Introduction Amidst an emerging infectious disease outbreak, the rational allocation of vaccines and medical resources is crucial for controlling epidemic’s progression. Method Analysing COVID-19 data in Taiyuan City from December 2022 to January 2023, this study constructed a SV1V2V3EIQHR dynamics model assess impact vaccination resource on epidemic trends. Results Vaccination significantly reduces infection rates, hospitalisations, severe cases, while also curtailing strain by reducing congestion periods. An early sufficient reserve can delay onset congestion, with increased maximum capacity resources, congestion’s end be accelerated. Stronger capabilities lead earlier resolution within fixed total pool. Discussion Integrating effectively reduce duration alleviate (CCMR).
