This study aims to explore the impact of timing (day vs. night) and location (green space non-green space) outdoor physical activity on college students’ mental health. We designed a cross-sectional based self-reported data, asking participants recall their health status over past month through questionnaire. Specifically, survey was conducted at university in Chongqing, collecting data indicators (including anxiety, depression, well-being, life satisfaction, happiness, stress) from 418 students (75 females). The questionnaire distributed via an online platform, allowing complete it using either mobile phones or computers. collection took place December 2024. results showed that about half preferred engaging nighttime, with most choosing green spaces. Regression analysis revealed who engaged night had significantly lower anxiety levels compared those during day (mean difference (MD) = −1.015; 95% CI −1.974 −0.055; p 0.038). Additionally, spaces, spaces reported well-being (MD −1.531; −2.480 −0.582; 0.002) subjective happiness −0.462; −0.917 −0.007; 0.047). Sensitivity indicated that, for participated nighttime activities, associated higher 2.025; 0.810 0.324; 0.001) 0.583; 0.026 1.140; 0.040). also slight gender differences; however, findings related females should be interpreted caution due insufficient sample size. Overall, despite some differences time choices, appears associate health, particularly well-being. provides preliminary evidence potential benefits improving offers directions future research this area.

The influence of residential greenness on maternal gestational weight gain (GWG) and fetal intrauterine growth remains understudied. This study examined the impact GWG assessed mediating role GWG. research included 29406 births in Shanghai, utilizing normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) to measure within a 500 m radius (NDVI-500). analysis employed generalized linear model assess impacts residental GWG, birthweight, mediation explore GWG's between development. Results indicated that significant benefits were observed with increased greenness, where each 0.1 unit increase NDVI-500 was associated reductions 9.4% (95% CI: 5.5%–13.2%) risk head circumference undergrowth 8.5% 4.8%–12.2%) estimated undergrowth. Additionally, 5.1%–13.5%) 9.2% 6.2%–12.0%) inadequate excessive respectively. Notably, total mediated 17.5% relationship birth weight. These findings suggest enhancing could be an effective public health strategy improve pregnancy outcomes by promoting managing partially these benefits.

To test the mediatory role of kinesiophobia between greenspace and physical activity, we conducted a cross-sectional survey recruited 801 participants with chronic low back pain. The level was assessed using both perceived Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI). frequency walking moderate vigorous activities measured brief assessment, while evaluated 11-item Tampa Scale for Kinesiophobia (TSK-11). results revealed that positively associated all activities, negatively kinesiophobia. Meanwhile, NDVI only activity. played marginal but significant mediating in association walking, In conclusion, our findings offer early evidence associations pathways activity among individuals

Abstract Objectives This study was conducted to determine the relationship between green space usage habits and physical activity in young adults. Design A cross‐sectional correlational design. Sample The with 455 adults who were studying at a faculty February May 2023. Measurements research data collected face‐to‐face using form prepared by researchers line literature tested before collection. includes questions about use habits, exercise levels, leisure time activities spaces. Results probability of male do spaces compared women aOR: 2.4 (95% CI: 1.4–3.9, p = .001), higher family income than those low‐income 5.4 2.7–10.8, < indoor not 1.5–3.6, 500 m away from 2.8 1.6–4.9, .001) is more likely for living farther engage closer 100 m. Conclusions Young adults' gender, income, distance spaces, sports under various conditions have an impact on open
