Abstract Human occupied built environments are no longer confined to Earth. In fact, there have been humans living and working in low-Earth orbit on the International Space Station (ISS) since November 2000. With NASA’s Artemis missions age of commercial space stations set begin, more human-occupied spacecraft than ever will be Earth’s beyond. On Earth ISS, microbes, especially fungi, can found dust grow when unexpected, elevated moisture conditions occur. However, we do not yet know how indoor microbiomes Earth-based homes ISS differ due their unique environmental conditions. Here show that bacterial fungal communities different collected from vacuum bags with being diverse (465 OTUs 237 ASVs) compared (102 102 ASVs). When these locations were exposed varying equilibrium relative humidity (ERH), also significant community composition changes as ERH time increased (Bray Curtis: R 2 = 0.35, P 0.001). These findings inform future design promote healthy support crew health, integrity, planetary protection.

Abstract To protect healthcare workforce during the COVID-19 pandemic, rigorous efforts were made to reduce infection rates among workers (HCWs), especially prior vaccine availability. This study aimed investigate prevalence of SARS-CoV-2 infections HCWs and identify potential risk factors associated with transmission. We searched MEDLINE, Embase, Google Scholar from 1 December 2019 5 February 2024. From 498 initial records, 190 articles reviewed, 63 studies eligible. ROBINS-E tool revealed a lower bias in several domains; however, some concerns related confounding exposure measurement identified. Globally, 11% (95% confidence interval (CI) 9–13) 283,932 infected SARS-CoV-2. Infection constellation major circulating variants. Abstract Introduction This paper presents an innovative air sampling and rapid detection system for airborne bacteria in the environment. Objective The proposed aims to enhance efficiency accuracy of bacterial by integrating improved sampler with a nucleic acid amplification method.
