Abstract Objective Workplace health promotion (WHP) in Germany is receiving increasing support from insurance funds. Nevertheless, there hardly any knowledge on the process of how outcomes are achieved, especially nursing. The aim study was to find out and what can be implemented different care settings examine reactions interactions participants under routine conditions. Methods Guided by a logic model, holistic WHP approach four acute hospitals, seven inpatient facilities outpatient services April 2021 October 2022. Data realized interventions, participant assessment topics work design collected analyzed descriptively. Results interventions were adapted depending content context. Mainly short relaxation delivered or those with an event character received participants. highest participation rate planned achieved team building training. Participants predominantly assessed as useful, quality (very) good generally satisfied intervention components. For topics, intentions for organization mainly documented action plans. Conclusion Cooperation practitioners research should continued contribution development. This could provide suggestions which adjustments lead greater acceptance target group specific Trial registration project registered German Clinical Register (DRKS00024961, 2021/04/09).
