This study aims to assess a new mobile application (app)’s efficacy in raising oral cancer awareness among older adults through educational videos and serious games. The app, named TEGO® (Tele-platform of Geriatric Dental Specialties), with video about prevention, oral-self-examination, gaming elements, like trivia word search puzzles reinforce the acquired knowledge was developed. Fifty-six patients, aged 60 80 years, were randomly selected from Clinic University Chile invited use app on their personal smartphones. Knowledge attitudes evaluated before two four weeks after use. Oral self-examination practices measured checkup guideline. participation rate 41.1%, mostly male (52.2%). Before using 30.4% participants reported cancer, none had performed self-examinations. Following use, there notable engagement, 100% utilizing it responding that they heard 56.5% having practiced an self-examination. last outcome increased 82.6% fourth week. mHealth technologies has potential as effective tool for disseminating adults.
