Background/Objectives: Being a healthcare professional often involves exposure to complex situations that can contribute the development of psychological problems. Evidence suggests both mental and physical health are crucial for well-being these professionals, which in turn influences quality care they provide patients. The main aim this study was examine association between adaptive maladaptive forms humor psychopathological disorders among workers. Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive correlational design employed. participants consisted 250 professionals at general hospital. Humor styles presence psychosomatic symptoms were assessed. Data collected using Styles Questionnaire (HSQ), Short Checklist Symptoms (LSB-50), sociodemographic information. Spearman correlation analysis linear regression conducted. Results: Healthcare more inclined use affiliative self-enhancing compared self-defeating aggressive humor. Affiliative negatively correlated with symptoms, whereas and, lesser extent, showed significantly positive most symptoms. Regression revealed predicted all severity indices LSB-50. In contrast, negative styles, particularly humor, positively indices. female, working night shifts, having temporary contracts predictors global Conclusions: This highlights importance considering different types as potential strategy improving well influence other independent variables related their personal work environment.
