Human pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is a highly malignant and lethal tumor of the exocrine pancreas. Cannabinoids extracted from hemp plant Cannabis sativa have been suggested as cancer therapy due to their anti-tumor effects on several human tumors. However, effect cannabinoids PDAC still understudied. Therefore, objective current study inhibition proliferation induction apoptosis potencies in xenograft nude mice model. The cell line (Capan-2) was subcutaneously injected into twenty-five mice. After reached 200 mm3 volume, were randomly divided five groups (5 mice/group), following: negative control (NC) (daily gavaged sesame oil), positive (PC) (intraperitoneal administration 5-fluorouracil at 20 mg/kg body weight (BW), three-time/week), cannabinoid-treated THC:CBD (1:6) solution 1, 5, 10 BW for 30 days, respectively). findings showed that significantly decreased mitotic cells mitotic/apoptotic ratio, while apoptotic dramatically increased compared NC group. Parallelly, reduced protein expression level Ki-67 PCNA relative Interestingly, upregulated BAX, BAX/BCL-2 Caspase-3 level, meanwhile, downregulated BCL-2 could not change Caspase-8 These suggest cannabinoid (THC:CBD 1:6) inhibit induce models. Cannabinoids, including THC:CBD, should be further studied use potent PDCA therapeutic agent humans.

Cannabis sativa , also known as “hemp” or “weed,” is a versatile plant with various uses in medicine, agriculture, food, and cosmetics. This review attempts to evaluate the available literature on ecology, chemical composition, phytochemistry, pharmacology, traditional uses, industrial toxicology of . So far, 566 compounds have been isolated from including 125 cannabinoids 198 non-cannabinoids. The psychoactive physiologically active part cannabinoid, mostly found flowers, but present smaller amounts leaves, stems, seeds. Of all phytochemicals, terpenes form largest composition plant. Pharmacological evidence reveals that plants contain which exhibit potential antioxidants, antibacterial agents, anticancer anti-inflammatory agents. Furthermore, reported applications food cosmetic industries. Significantly, cultivation has minimal negative impact environment terms cultivation. Most studies focused make-up, pharmacological effects, not much about toxic effects. Overall, enormous for biological well other medicinal uses. However, further research necessary fully understand explore beneficial properties

The characterization of any compound is important in the field chemistry. As cannabinoid chemistry grows so does need for new cannabinoids or rare that gain popularity within consumer and research fields. Hexahydrocannabinol (HHC) a hydrogenated analogue Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), also found trace amounts naturally Cannabis sativa plant, has been gaining attention cannabis industry. Hexahydrocannabidiol (H4CBD) synthetic to cannabidiol (CBD). Identifying diastereomers with instrumentation plays huge role adding valuable information structure parameters others identify such cannabinoids. Elucidation HHC H4CBD were performed using current analytical techniques as 1D 2D nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS), effectively characterizing both H4CBD.

Abstract Human pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is a highly malignant and lethal tumor of the exocrine pancreas. Cannabinoids extracted from hemp plant Cannabis sativa have been suggested as potential therapeutic agent in several human tumors. However, anti–tumor effect cannabinoids on PDAC not entirely clarified. In this study, anti–proliferative apoptotic cannabinoid solution (THC:CBD at 1:6) dose 1, 5, 10 mg/kg body weight compared to negative control (sesame oil) positive (5-fluorouracil) was investigated xenograft nude mice model. The findings showed that significantly decreased mitotic cells mitotic/apoptotic ratio, meanwhile dramatically increased cells. Parallelly, downregulated Ki-67 PCNA expression levels. Interestingly, upregulated BAX, BAX/BCL-2 Caspase-3, meanwhile, BCL-2 level could change Caspase-8 level. These suggest inhibit proliferation induce apoptosis models. Cannabinoids, including THC:CBD, should be further studied for use potent PDCA humans.

Three new cyclic heptapeptides, talaromides A–C (1–3), were isolated from cultures produced by the fungus Talaromyces siglerae (Ascomycota), an unidentified sponge. The structures, featuring unusual proline-anthranilic moiety, elucidated analysis of spectroscopic data and chemical transformations, including advanced Marfey's method GITC derivatization. Talaromides A B inhibited migration activity against PANC-1 human pancreatic cancer cells without significant cytotoxicity.

Cannabinoid receptors CB1 and CB2 are the primary endogenous with which cannabinoids interact, inducing physiological psychological effects. Although interactions other including TRPV1 GPCR55, have been recognized in earlier studies, these may play a significant role cancer remediation through unspecified upregulation or downregulation of specific pathways. The main active constituents within cannabis plant cannabidiol (CBD) tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), categorized as either non-intoxicating benefit intoxicating no benefit. These categories constantly ignored, shown efficacy treatment certain diseases ailments single-agent compounds. Tetrahydrocannabivarin (THCV), rare cannabinoid, is homologue THC, C5 alkyl chain having three carbons rather than standard five carbon length. THCV has garnered attention clinical setting an anti-obesity drug treating glucose issues.
