A known cut-off problem hampers the interpretation of quality life (QOL) scores. The purpose this study was to apply a novel approach for EORTC QLQ-C30 instrument identify proportion breast cancer (BC) patients in need supportive care. Changes QOL during COVID-19 pandemic were evaluated, as well changes over time (after treatment termination and up 4 years later). Data obtained from cohort on young adult BC with minor children participating mother–child rehab program. Cross-sectional data collected 2015 2021 (baseline). Follow-up available after diagnosis subgroup. baseline included 853 women (mean age 35 years). More than 50% had In subgroup follow-up, remained at high level several diagnosis. During pandemic, regarding not expected—with exception scale ‘role functioning’ (+15%). Even diagnosis, every second patient care, which is much higher previously found. Healthcare staff should be aware potential address issue.

Occupational differences in COVID-19 diseases – A wave-specific analysis of 3.17 million insured persons Objective: Previous results on occupational the infection risk are heterogeneous. One reason for this could be different observation periods previous studies. Wave-specific analyses not yet available. The aim paper is to investigate disease risks along characteristics first four waves pandemic. Methods: study uses health insurance data from research database InGef (Institute Applied Health Research) more than men and women between 18 67 years age. To compare associations, a distinction was made main pandemic 01.01.2020 31.12.2021. SARS-CoV-2 infections were determined basis transmitted diagnoses (ICD codes U07.1!). Occupations divided according groupings official classification occupations. In addition incidence rates, multivariable Cox regressions estimated (adjusted sex, age region). Results: Personal service occupations (esp. healthcare occupations) showed significantly higher especially at beginning (waves 1 2), but these rates comparable those other with increased during course Production (especially manufacturing occupations), hand, had rather low pandemic, as progressed. kind reversal lower also observed lowskilled or without management function. Results remained consistent after controlling region. Conclusion: shows that varied by phase. Accordingly, it appears partly shaped occupation, extent which possible establish control measures Keywords: inequalities social epidemiology Germany

The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on mental health is challenging to quantify because factors such as pre-existing risk, disease burden, and public policy varied across individuals, time, regions. To understand dynamic relationships between these factors, we analyzed time-varying associations psychiatric vulnerability, loneliness, psychological distress, social distancing in a longitudinal study during first year pandemic. Participants (n = 3655) were surveyed regarding outcomes COVID-19-related circumstances every two weeks for six months. We combined self-reported outcomes, regional estimates, vulnerability classifier that predicted probabillity diagnosis at time enrollment. Loneliness both impacted distress. distress also linked distancing, loneliness fully mediated distancing’s Future policies should address when encouraged, particularly those risk conditions.

Abstract Objective The COVID-19 pandemic has had significant health and socioeconomic impacts worldwide. Extensive measures, including contact restrictions, were implemented to control the spread of virus. This study aims examine factors that influenced private professional behaviour during pandemic. Results We used baseline data (January–April 2021) from SeMaCo (Serologische Untersuchungen bei Blutspendern des Großraums Magdeburg auf Antikörper gegen SARS-CoV-2), a longitudinal, regional cohort assessing seroprevalence in blood donors surrounding areas Germany. In donor ( n = 2,195), there was general reduction contacts (by 78.9%) 54.4%) after March 18, 2020. Individuals with higher education reduced both 84.1%) 70.1%) more than those lower levels (private 59.5%; 37%). Younger age groups (18–30 years) frequently 85.4%) older individuals (61–83 years, by 68.6%) demonstrated likelihood compared (51–60 years: odds ratio (OR) 0.45 [95% [CI] 0.32–0.65]; 61–83 OR 0.33 0.22–0.48]).
