Satellite altimetry technology has been widely used for the observation of oceans and inland water bodies. At present, fully focused synthetic aperture radar (FF-SAR) data, which significantly enhances along-track resolution, good prospects river level estimation. However, FF-SAR data with large volumes have more complex waveforms, brings challenges to waveform retracking. This study developed an improved adaptive multi-scale peak detection (ImpAMPD) retracker based on Sentinel-6 data. Initially, sub-waveforms are identified extracted from each waveform. Compared with atmospheric urban heat islands, surface islands (SUHIs) are easily monitored by the thermal sensors on satellites and have a more stable spatial pattern resembling built-up lands across single cities, large metropolitans, agglomerations; hence, they gaining attention from scholars planners worldwide in search for reasonable patterns scales to guide future development. Traditional urban–rural dichotomies, being sensitive representative rural areas diurnal seasonal variations land temperature (LST), obtain inflated varying SUHI footprints of approximately 1.0–6.5 times size different satellite-retrieved LST datasets many cities metropolitan areas, which not conducive developing strategies mitigate SUHIs. We consider the problem of online path planning for joint detection and tracking multiple unknown radio-tagged objects. This is a necessary task gathering spatio-temporal information using UAVs with on-board sensors in range monitoring applications. This paper presents a simple adaptive framework for robust separation and extraction of multiple sources radio-frequency interference (RFI) from raw ultra-wideband (UWB) radar signals in challenging bandwidth management environments. Atrial fibrillation (AF), a common cause of stroke, often is asymptomatic. Smartphones and smartwatches can detect AF using heart rate patterns inferred photoplethysmography (PPG); however, enhanced accuracy required to reduce false positives in screening populations.The purpose this study was test the hypothesis that deep learning algorithm given raw, smartwatch-derived PPG waveforms would discriminate from normal sinus rhythm better than algorithms alone.Patients presenting for cardioversion (n = 51) were wrist-worn fitness trackers containing sensors (Jawbone Health). Standard 12-lead electrocardiograms over-read by board-certified cardiac electrophysiologists used as reference standard. The signals evaluated conventional measures variability, long short-term memory (LSTM) neural network data only, convolutional-recurrent net (DNN) raw data.From among 51 patients with persistent (age 63.6 ± 11.3 years; 78% male; 88% white), we randomly assigned 40 train 11 algorithms. Whereas logistic regression analysis variability yielded an area under receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) 0.717 (sensitivity 0.741; specificity 0.584), LSTM model exhibited AUC 0.954 0.810; 0.921), DNN highest 0.983 0.985; 0.880).A PPG-based signal resulted detection high accuracy, performing analyses relying on series alone.

Abstract Subsurface tile drainage (TD) is a dominant agriculture water management practice in the United States (US) to enhance crop production poorly drained soils. Assessments of field‐level or watershed‐level (<50 km 2 ) hydrologic impacts TD are becoming common; however, major gap exists our understanding regional (>105 on hydrology. The National Water Model (NWM) distributed 1‐km resolution hydrological model designed provide accurate streamflow forecasts at 2.7 million reaches across US. current NWM lacks representation which adds considerable uncertainty heavily tile‐drained areas. In this study, we quantify performance with newly incorporated tile‐drainage scheme over Midwestern Employing enhanced uncalibrated by about 20–50% fully calibrated ( Calib ). CalibTD showed accuracy higher event hit rates and lower false alarm than . better high‐flow estimations as increased peaks (14%), volume (2.3%), baseflow (11%). Regional balance analysis indicated that significantly reduced surface runoff (−7% −29%), groundwater recharge (−43% −50%), evapotranspiration −13%), soil moisture content (−2% −3%). However, profile lateral flow (27.7%) along infiltration storage potential. Overall, findings highlight importance incorporating process into operational configuration NWM.
