The growth of social innovation research in higher education institutions (HEIs)

Purpose The purpose of this study is to explore the development “social innovation (SI)” research within Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) context. Design/methodology/approach This paper explores academic databases (Web Science/Scopus/Sage), identify relevant papers focused on SI. Using a systematic literature review (SLR) with narrative-assessment approach, “VOSviewer” tool used analyse relationships between themes/subthemes related SI in HEIs. Additionally, Excel’s polynomial-trendline feature track publication numbers over time. Findings identified five themes HEIs and trends, each exposing important aspects higher education SI, including “Sustainable Development; Social Entrepreneurship; Digital Transformation; Research; Innovation Culture.” also identifies best practices global universities their programmes across 19 topics, changes volume since 1996. Practical implications SLR reveals gaps trends that require further investigation. Fostering social entrepreneurship through social capital approach: an empirical study in China

Student Entrepreneurship Competence and Its Contribution to Sustainable Development: A Systematic Review in the Context of Chinese Higher Education

This systematic literature review studies student entrepreneurial competence and its impact on sustainable development in the context of higher education China.
