Coaching Ethical Values: An Empirical Investigation in Mentoring Dyads of the Relation Between Engaging Leadership and Ethical Organizational Values

This
study
explores
the
association
between
engaging
leadership
and
strength
of
an
ethical
organizational
culture
(EOC)
in
leader–follower
mentoring
dyads.
In
particular,
we
use
Actor
Partner
Interdependence
Mediation
model
to
test
a
sample
20
dyads
mediating
role
relational
variables
(psychological
safety,
distrust,
identification
knowledge
sharing)
as
reported
by
mentees
relation
EOC.
Our
research
shows
that
mentor–mentee
perceptions
are
positively
correlated.
Engaging
was
negatively
related
distrust
psychological
knowledge-sharing
identification.
Furthermore,
mentors
significantly
reduced
increased
EOC,
mentors.
Although
sharing
strengthened
none
indirect
effects
empowering
on
EOC
were
significant.
The
results
underscore
importance
strengthening
trust,
safety
identification,
while
highlighting
dyadic
relationships

This
study
introduces
the
Ethical
Leadership
Ecosystem
Model
(ELEM),
to
conceptualise
dynamic
relationship
between
ethical
leadership,
organizational
integrity,
and
follower
trust.
Departing
from
traditional
unidirectional
or
bidirectional
models,
ELEM
emphasises
interconnectedness
of
these
variables,
portraying
them
as
a
continuous,
adaptive
system
that
explains
concept
leadership
in
contemporary
organisations.
The
model
integrates
theoretical
insights
transformational
social
learning,
exchange
theories
provide
holistic
perspective
leadership.

This
study
examines
how
positive
beliefs
about
organizational
changes
during
a
foreign
acquisition
case
influence
identification,
perceptions
of
ethical
culture,
and
individual
performance
seven
months
post-acquisition.
By
integrating
theories
social
identity
change,
we
offer
new
perspective
on
change
key
outcomes
following
mergers
acquisitions
(M&As).
Using
cross-lagged
design
with
two
cross-sectional
datasets
within
high-intensity
telecommuting
organization
in
Romania,
found
that
viewing
positively
significantly
enhanced
performance.
These
findings
highlight
the
crucial
role
effectively
managing
narrative
surrounding
processes
enhancing
employee
successful
integration
M&As.
