Investigating the spatial distribution mechanisms of traditional villages from the human geography region: A case study of Jiangnan, China

Investigating
the
spatial
distribution
and
adaptation
mechanisms
of
traditional
villages
is
crucial
for
their
development
human
well-being.
However,
relatively
few
studies
have
focused
on
interaction
comprehensive
influence
historical-cultural,
natural-geographic
socio-economic
factors
in
Jiangnan
region.
Employing
geographically
weighted
regression
(GWR)
Geodetector
methods,
we
developed
an
integrated
framework.
We
found
that
(1)
Traditional
exhibit
a
"one-core,
multiple-periphery"
clustering
pattern
(nearest
neighbor
index
<1),
with
significant
high-high
low-low
local
characteristics
preferring
gentle
Complex
terrains
to
adapt
need
avoid
warfare.
(2)
Urbanization
negatively
affects
village
density
patterns,
while
complexity
has
positive
impact.
Their
nonlinearly
amplifies
this
effect,
urbanization-GDP
interplay
being
particularly
(q
=
0.765).
(3)
Factors
heterogeneity
impact
density,
explanatory
power
increasing
by
20%
(GWR/R2
0.65).
The
urbanization
rate
slope
are
most
critical
factors,
respectively
(local
coefficient:
23.31
11.58).
Our
study
transcends
administrative
boundaries,
revealing
how
natural-geographical,
collectively
villages.
This
not
only
provides
new
theoretical
foundation

Squares
Structural
Equation
Modeling
(PLS-SEM)
method
was
used
empirical
testing
determine
coefficients
between
variables.
On
this
basis,
system
dynamics
constructed
simulate
dynamic
evolution
relationships
found
following:

Traditional family fertility values and performance evaluation of grassroots governments: evidence from the China Family Panel Studies

Throughout
the
historical
process
of
institutional
change,
traditional
family
fertility
values
(TFFV)
have
largely
persisted
and
been
preserved
as
an
informal
institution,
maintaining
a
substantial
influence
in
present
times.
Building
upon
reflections
on
theory
endogenous
change
aimed
at
reducing
transaction
costs,
there's
significant
merit
harnessing
TFFV
to
enhance
governance
efficiency.
Drawing
CFPS
data
from
2010
2018,
this
study
examines
impact
performance
evaluation
grassroots
governments.
Results
indicate
that
more
pronounced
rural
areas
compared
urban
regions,
significantly
affects
government
performance.
This
remains
uninfluenced
by
internet
exhibits
inverted
U-shaped
pattern.
Additionally,
its
work
becomes
even
noteworthy
when

emphasized.

for
