Abstract Although several studies have focused on the relationship between brine shrimp farming and surface water contamination, much less is known about effects of in inland freshwater areas vertical variability distribution soil salinity sodicity levels. To provide a better understanding, fifty-eight samples adjacent to cultivation were collected at depths 0–15, 15–30, 30–60, 60–90 cm twice August 2017 February 2018 determine levels upon electrical conductivity (EC e ), sodium adsorption ratio (SAR). The spatial was estimated using inverse distance weighting (IDW) technique. results revealed that EC values various from two periods varied 0.18–13.63 dS m –1 ( x ˜ = 2.06 ). Spatial based IDW estimation exhibited similar patterns among both February. These suggest no clear impacts areas. Soil SAR considerably, ranging 4–69 25), with highest 0–15 depth. Spatially distributed appeared display greater than August. findings explicit influences aquaculture fine-textured soils.
