In this context, realm agriculture confronts formidable challenges in its pursuit soil resource reclamation, improving water quality, mitigating maintaining natural resources for posterity. Central these aspirations is preservation an optimum organic matter, serving as a linchpin threshold crucial protecting physical, chemical, biological integrity soil, while simultaneously sustaining agricultural productivity. To address multifaceted challenges, introduction diverse amendments has emerged strategy. Noteworthy among application biochar, which functions conditioner capable bolstering health, impact securing global Biochar carbon-enriched substance produced through pyrolysis assorted biomass waste. It larger surface area, higher cation exchange capacity, extended carbon storage capability. The strategic integration biochar production subsequent engenders array benefits, encompassing amelioration physical properties, augmented retention availability nutrients, enhancement activity, resulting yields societal benefits curtailment atmosphere greenhouse gas emissions. Additionally, demonstrates efficacy environmental restoration by medium extraction elimination heavy metals, often pervade aquatic ecosystems matrices. This review addressed need production, characterization, possibility restoration, crop yield fluctuations owing change.

Biochar, produced from biomass, has become recognized as a sustainable soil amendment that the potential to improve quality and agricultural production. This review focuses on production processes properties of biochar derived different types including synergistic interactions between microorganisms, emphasizing their influence overall crop production, particularly in cultivation Brassica crops. It additionally addresses benefits limitations microbial application. Biomass is renewable abundant resource can be converted through pyrolysis into biochar, which high porosity, surface functionalities, capacity retain nutrients. These characteristics provide optimal conditions for beneficial communities increase nutrient cycling, reduce pathogens, structure. The information indicates use crops result improved plant growth, yield, uptake, stress mitigation. includes about such pH, elemental composition, ash content, affected by biomass used well like temperature. Understanding these variables essential optimizing use. Moreover, microbes emphasizes importance with constraints. Therefore, agriculture methods possibly achieved integrating management measurements, resulting higher productivity adaptability or other systems. aims comprehensive understanding biochar’s role supporting farming its address contemporary challenges.

In this study, we established a feasible fertilization programming method for wheat production by exploring the effects of combined application chemical and organic fertilizers on yield, nutrient uptake, soil content, fertilizer utilization. Six treatments, no (CK), conventional (CF), optimized (with reduced amount) (RF), with extract (RPAE), partial replacement raw amino acid powder (RAF), humic (RHF), were set up field experiment. The rates RF treatment calculated based fertilization-monitoring techniques (30.3% nitrogen 24.8% phosphorus reductions in 2022 23.0% 1.5% 2023). different treatments dry matter accumulation, plant nutrients, utilization investigated. results showed that, basis 23% reductions, there was significant difference yield between CF that rate improved. promoted accumulation organs wheat; increased accumulation; improved rate, productivity, agronomic use efficiency; ensured stable crop yield. Specifically, compared CF, RPAE, RAF, RHF 3.85%, 1.97%, 0.67%, respectively, induced these significantly 40.46%, 39.28%, 37.46% (nitrogen) 9.83%, 8.91%, 7.46% (phosphorus), respectively. As result our experiment, concluded RPAE exerted best among three (RPAE, RHF) its can higher drip-irrigated fields. study provide theoretical fertilizers, which is conducive to sustainable agriculture development.

Biochar has recently emerged as a promising resource for enhancing crop productivity by improving the soil quality. However, there is limited understanding of how varying application rates biochar combined with inorganic fertilizers impact across diverse biophysical contexts. This study investigated effects different water hyacinth-derived and fertilizer on wheat production during rainy dry seasons. Four (0, 5, 10, 20 t ha−1), three NPS 100, 200 kg two irrigation levels (50% 100%; season only) were evaluated yield profitability randomized complete block design. Soil amendment both improved grain 6.4% in 173% season. Optimal yields achieved 10 ha−1 season, whereas highest was observed under full requirement. Specifically, plant height, leaf area, analysis development (SPAD) value, biomass, spike length, spikelet number, number significantly due to application. Furthermore, reducing 50% did not affect growth components when amended biochar. The net return (5351 3084 USD ha−1) seasons, respectively. suggests that maximum improvement economic benefits can be obtained through combination application, appropriate rates, management strategies rainfed irrigated cropping systems.

A two-year pot experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of combined application biochar and chemical fertilizer on soil quality vegetable growth by adding different proportions in 2022 no 2023. It concluded that treatment improved soil’s properties. After two consecutive years planting vegetables, improvement properties most significant with 1.5 g + 80% optimal (BCF6) treatment. In comparison control (CK), pH, electrical conductivity, dissolved organic carbon increased 0.59 units, 166.6%, 282.6%, respectively. Soil fertility also significantly, indicating treatments resulted slow release nutrients enhance effectiveness fertilizers. Co-application significantly yield edible parts Chinese cabbage its quality. The vitamin C content soluble protein were observed under BCF6 treatment, which 3.33 1.42 times more than CK, Utilizing as a partial substitute for fertilizers can improve structure over long term while reducing reliance fertilizers, ultimately providing sustained economic ecological benefits agricultural production.
