To investigate the soil-specific metabolites of Codonopsis pilosula under different stubble management practices, this study analyzed differentially abundant in rhizosphere soils rotational (DS) and continuous (LS) cropping systems via liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry (LC–MS/MS)-based metabolomic approaches. The results revealed that 66 metabolites, including amino acids their derivatives, nucleic acids, alcohols, organic amines, fatty purines, sugars, were significantly (p < 0.05) between DS LS groups. Soil organic carbon (SOC) is a key indicator of soil quality and an important component the global cycle. Enhancing SOC through crop rotation promising strategy; yet, underlying mechanisms for accumulation remain unclear. This study aimed to evaluate effects different pasture age, species, irrigation, nitrogen (N) fertilization treatments on content storage in pastureland, analyzing below-ground biomass (BGB) data layers (0–10 cm, 10–20 20–40 40–60 cm) each treatment under three factors (pasture species (Bromus inermis, Medicago varia, 1:1 mixture), irrigation (CK, dry-season supplementation), N (0 kg hm−2 y−1, 75 150 y−1)), as well interaction these factors. Pasture water addition levels, age all had significant (p < 0.05) BGB. At 1–3, monocultured Bromus inermis was slightly higher than varia mixture, at 4–5, mixture were inermis. Introduction Codonopsis pilosula is widely sought-after in China as a substitute for the more expensive ginseng. Continuous cropping of C. supports vibrant health-supplement industry but requires significant inputs fertilizers which increase production costs and degrade environment. Methods Here, three environmentally-friendly natural fertilizers, including biochar, bacterial fertilizer, vermicompost, were used at different concentrations (undiluted, diluted 10 times, 50 times) to determine their efficacy seed germination growth physiology continuous cropping. Continuous cropping obstacles pose significant constraints and urgent challenges in the production of Tussilago farfara L. Abstract The yield of Tartary buckwheat is significantly affected by continuous cropping. Melatonin plays a crucial role in plant defense mechanisms against abiotic stresses. However, the relationship between melatonin and cropping tolerance remains unclear. This study aimed to analyze physiological mechanism enhancing (abiotic stress) buckwheat. A field experiment was conducted on cultivar Jinqiao 2 under with five application rates, 0 (Control), 10, 50, 100, 200 μmol L −1 , applied during early budding stage. chlorophyll content, antioxidant enzyme activity, osmolyte auxin (IAA) contents, root rhizosphere soil nutrient agronomic traits initially increased then decreased an increase concentration exogenous application, best effects observed at 100 . Compared Control treatment, treatment contents malondialdehyde, superoxide anion free radical, abscisic acid (ABA) average 28.79%, 27.08%, 31.64%, respectively. Exogenous Plants treated μM respectively had 1.88, 2.01, 2.20, 1.78 times higher than those treatment.
