Background: Western Siberia has great potential for crop and livestock production; it is limited by degradation of soil fertility due to depletion biophilic elements, including Mg. Intensification agricultural production requires monitoring optimization magnesium nutrition field crops. This study aimed at investigating changes in content forms Gleyic Chernozems Luvic Greyzemic Phaeozem the during their long-term use. Methods: Soil samples were taken from fields experiments 1978, 1988 2019. Three cores a layer 0-20, 20-40 cm thick combined into composite samples. Composite kept archives institute. Chemical analysis was carried out 2020. analyzes plants conventional methods. Magnesium extracted: easily exchangeable with 0.0025 M CaCl2 solution, 1 CH3COONH4, non-exchangeable HNO3 determined on an atomic absorption spectrometer. Result: Systematic use ammonia form nitrogen fertilizers (60-120 kg a.m./ha per year) led decrease mobile most root-inhabited layer. The removal potatoes small (8-10 kg/ha, 80 % falls tops). Consequently, significant reserves available soils associated not so much alienation element yield, but leaching processes displacement soil-absorbing complex ammonium ions introduced also, probably, potassium.
