To meet the growing demand for aquatic products, aquaculture sector is expanding, including organic aquaculture. One of main challenges in this industry development suitable fish feeds. EU regulations have made recommendations, incorporation fishmeal from trimmings. However, use such meal may pose issues due to lower protein content and elevated phosphorus concentrations that could conflict with national environmental regulations. Dietary protein quality plays a key role in maintaining intestinal mucosal integrity, but also modulates the growth of luminal microorganisms. This work assessed effect dietary sources on performance, gut morphology, and microbiome Nile tilapia. Four isonitrogenous isolipidic diets comprising equivalent amounts supply derived from either PLANT, ANIMAL, INSECT, or BACTERIAL (bacterial biomass) were fed to triplicate groups fish (IBW: 12 g) for 46 days. This study offers a comprehensive morpho-histological analysis of the gastrointestinal tract (GIT) Malabar red snapper. A comparison its GIT morphology with that Asian seabass reveals similarities and differences between two species. Additionally, moisture content, crude protein, ash in fillets snapper were slightly different, exhibiting higher levels essential fatty acids.
