Methods: A cross-sectional survey (questionnaire) was carried out aimed at (n = 43) registered 1050) autonomous community region Murcia (Spain). Results: response rates were GDPs 7.7% 81) DSs 84.5% 38). Only 20.98% GDP respondents reported having been trained on SDF versus 100% DSs. Significant differences observed between groups (p < 0.05). While 94.7% aware indications SDF, only 56.8% general it. Similarly, hypersensitivity treatment, 71.1% informed 40.7% dentists, paediatric patients, DS group 59.3% GDPs. In adult vary from GDPs’ (50%) DSs’ (25.9%) responses. About know advantages 50.6% Both showed reluctance esthetic zones, with greater acceptance non-esthetic areas practice, fewer (27.16%) (23.68%) had applied reflecting a gap implementation. Conclusions: Dental significantly higher knowledge, situation that evidences high education training curricular guides universities.

Abstract Purpose While silver diamine fluoride has been used extensively for caries arrest and desensitising, (AgF) at neutral pH may also have value as a minimally invasive dental treatment. This study explored the effectiveness of two AgF products (AgF/KI AgF/SnF 2 ) when in adult patients with special needs (SN) who had high risk salivary gland hypofunction. Methods split-mouth clinical study, over appointments 3-months apart, compared impact single application AgF/KI (Riva Star Aqua, SDI) (Creighton Dental CSDS, Whiteley) on matched carious lesions same arch, by visual-tactile (cVT) assessment status laser fluorescence (LF, DIAGNOdent) evaluation bacterial load lesions, using repeated measures analysis. Results Twelve participants were recruited study. A total 56 teeth (28 pairs) included. Both gave significant decrease activity measured cVT ( P < 0.0001) LF = 0.0027). There no statistically differences between treatments, response rates improvements active 92% arm, 96% arm. was effect tooth type, lesion arch plaque metabolism area site level outcomes, nor there clustering sites patient Overall, superior to detecting that still progressed despite treatment Conclusion or predictability (over 90%) achieving SN risk.
