Alzheimer's disease (AD), due to its spread, has become a global health priority, and is characterized by senile dementia progressive disability. The main cause of AD other neurodegenerations (Huntington, Parkinson, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) are aggregated protein accumulation oxidative damage. Recent research on secondary metabolites plants such as polyphenols demonstrated that they may slow the progression AD. flavonoids' mechanism action in involved inhibition acetylcholinesterase, butyrylcholinesterase, Tau aggregation, β-secretase, stress, inflammation, apoptosis through modulation signaling pathways which implicated cognitive neuroprotective functions, ERK, PI3-kinase/Akt, NFKB, MAPKs, endogenous antioxidant enzymatic systems. This review focuses flavonoids their role AD, terms therapeutic potentiality for human health, potential, specific molecular targets.

This article reviews what is presently known about the biological roles of diet-derived compound ergothioneine (ET). ET seems important to humans because it rapidly taken up from diet by a transporter largely or completely specific for ET, and once retained within body weeks months. The various possible functions in vivo are explored. Much emphasis has been placed on antioxidant properties but although these well established vitro, evidence that activity principal function weak. not unique this: vitamin C polyphenols such as flavonoids also By contrast, α-tocopherol demonstrated effects humans.

Flavonoids are a biodiverse family of dietary compounds that have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, and antibacterial cell protective profiles. They received considerable attention as potential therapeutic agents in biomedicine been widely used traditional complimentary medicine for generations. Such medical herbal formulations extremely complex mixtures many pharmacologically active provide outcome through network pharmacological effects complexity. Methods emerging to determine the components their targets decipher complexities how pharmacology provides such effects. The gut microbiome has important roles play generation bioactive flavonoid metabolites retaining or exceeding antioxidative anti-inflammatory properties intact and, some cases, new antitumor antineurodegenerative bioactivities. Free radicals (FRs) are unstable molecules that cause reactive stress (RS), an imbalance between oxygen and nitrogen species in the body its ability to neutralize them. These generated by both internal external factors can damage cellular lipids, proteins, DNA. Antioxidants prevent or slow down oxidation process interrupting transfer of electrons substances agents. This is particularly important at level because reactions lead formation FR contribute various diseases. As we age, RS accumulates leads organ dysfunction age-related disorders. Polyphenols; vitamins A, C, E; selenoproteins possess antioxidant properties may have a role preventing treating certain human diseases associated with RS. In this review, explore current evidence on potential benefits dietary supplementation investigate intricate connection SIRT1, crucial regulator aging longevity; transcription factor NRF2; polyphenols, vitamins, selenium. Ethylene Responsive Factor (ERF) subfamily comprise the largest number of proteins in plant AP2/ERF superfamily, and have been most extensively studied on biological functions. Members this proven to regulate resistances various abiotic stresses, such as drought, salinity, chilling some other adversities. Under these ERFs are usually activated by mitogen-activated protein kinase induced phosphorylation or escape from ubiquitin-ligase enzymes, then form complex with nucleic before binding cis -element promoter regions stress responsive genes. In review, we will discuss phylogenetic relationships among ERF proteins, summarize molecular mechanism how transcriptional activity regulated different subgroup transcription genes, high-affinity K + transporter gene PalHKT1;2 , reactive oxygen species related genes LcLTP LcPrx LcRP flavonoids synthesis FtF3H LhMYBSPLATTER etc. Though increasing researches demonstrate that involved very few interact target them comprehensively annotated. Aging is a multi-factorial process developing through complex net of interactions between biological and cellular mechanisms it involves oxidative stress (OS) as well protein glycation. The aim the present work was to verify protective role Quercetin (Q), polyphenolic flavonoid compound, in d-Galactose (d-Gal)-induced model aging human erythrocytes. anion-exchange capability Band 3 (B3p) measured by rate constant SO42− uptake, thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS) levels—a marker lipid peroxidation—total sulfhydryl (-SH) groups, glycated hemoglobin (A1c), reduced glutathione/oxidized glutathione (GSH-GSSG) ratio were determined following exposure erythrocytes 100 mM d-Gal for 24 h, with or without pre-incubation 10 µM Q. results confirmed that activated OS pathways erythrocytes, affecting both membrane lipids proteins, denoted increased TBARS levels decreased total respectively. In addition, led an acceleration uptake B3p. Both alteration B3p function damage have been improved pre-treatment Q, which preferentially ameliorated peroxidation rather than oxidation. Moreover, Q prevented A1c formation, while no effect on endogenous antioxidant system observed. These findings suggest could be novel potential target treatments counteract aging-related disturbances. Further studies are needed confirm possible pharmacological strategies against aging.

The liver is the body’s most critical organ that performs vital functions. Hepatic disorders can affect physiological and biochemical functions of body. disorder a condition describes damage to cells, tissues, structures, liver, which cause fibrosis ultimately result in cirrhosis. These diseases include hepatitis, ALD, NAFLD, fibrosis, cirrhosis, hepatic failure, HCC. are caused by cell membrane rupture, immune response, altered drug metabolism, accumulation reactive oxygen species, lipid peroxidation, death. Despite breakthrough modern medicine, there no effective stimulating function, offering complete protection, aiding regeneration. Furthermore, some drugs create adverse side effects, natural medicines carefully selected as new therapeutic strategies for managing disease. Kaempferol polyphenol contained many vegetables, fruits, herbal remedies. We use it manage various such diabetes, cardiovascular disorders, cancers. potent antioxidant has anti-inflammatory therefore possesses hepatoprotective properties. previous research studied effect kaempferol hepatotoxicity protocols, including acetaminophen (APAP)-induced hepatotoxicity, CCl4, HCC, lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced acute injury. Therefore, this report aims provide recent brief overview literature concerning its possible molecular mechanism action. It also provides on kaempferol’s chemical structure, source, bioavailability, safety.

Flavonoids are polyphenolic compounds widely occurring throughout the plant kingdom. They biologically active and have many medical applications. reveal chemopreventive, anticarcinogenic, antioxidant properties, as well being able to modulate immune system response inhibit inflammation, angiogenesis, metastasis. Polyphenols also believed reverse multidrug resistance via various mechanisms, induce apoptosis, activate cell death signals in tumor cells by modulating signaling pathways. The main limitation broader usage of flavonoids is their low solubility, poor absorption, rapid metabolism. To tackle this, combining with nanocarriers could improve bioavailability create systems wider functionalities. Recently, interest hybrid materials based on combinations metal nanoparticles has increased due unique physicochemical biological including improved selectivity toward target sites. In addition, further utilities, even initial step preparation nanomaterials. review offers knowledge multiple possibilities synthesis flavonoid-metal nanoparticle conjugates, presents some features such size, shape, surface charge, stability. discussed regarding properties potential
