Inflammation plays a pivotal role in the resolution of infection or tissue damage. In addition, inflammation is considered hallmark aging, which turn compromises wound healing. Thymbra capitata an aromatic plant, whose infusion traditionally used as anti-inflammatory and wound-healing agent. this study, T. was prepared characterized by HPLC-PDA-ESI-MSn its safety profile determined resazurin metabolic assay. The potential revealed lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated macrophages assessing nitric oxide (NO) release levels inducible synthase (iNOS) interleukin-1β pro-form (pro-IL-1β). Wound-healing capacity using scratch activity senescence-associated β-galactosidase to unveil anti-senescent potential, along with nuclear accumulation yH2AX p21 levels. antiradical assessed DPPH ABTS scavenging assays. contains predominantly rosmarinic acid salvianolic acids. extract decreased NO, iNOS, pro-IL-1β Interestingly, promoted healing activity, well present work highlights strong antiradical, anti-inflammatory, capacities, corroborating traditional uses ascribed plant. AbstractImmortelle (Helichrysum italicum) essential oil is one of the most valuable oils with its commercial importance and favorable characteristic properties in various cosmetic products food products. Current research performed a comprehensive characterization Immortelle using powerful robust analytical techniques. The relative volatile composition from Turkey was determined by GC-MS (gas chromatography-mass spectrometry) technique. Thirty-eight compounds were identified. Average total phenolic content DPPH radical scavenging activities (IC50) as 54.24 mg GAE/mL 0.27 mg/ml, respectively. FTIR Raman spectroscopy fingerprints for chemical characterization. thermal profile obtained DSC (differential scanning calorimetry) analysis. (12.5 μg/mL) inhibited growth Caco 2 adenocarcinoma cells at ratio 48% without any deterioration healthy L929 fibroblast according to cytotoxicity analyses. Keywords: Helichrysum italicum (Immortelle) oilChemical fingerprintingAntioxidantVolatile compositionAnticarcinogenicDSCFTIRRamanGC-MS

Bioactive extracts are often the target fractions in bioprospecting, and halophyte plants could provide a potential source of feedstock for high-value applications as part integrated biorefineries. Tripolium pannonicum (Jacq.) Dobrocz. (sea aster) Crithmum maritimum L. fennel) edible suggested biosaline halophyte-based agriculture. After food production harvesting fresh leaves food, inedible plant be utilized to produce rich bioactive phytochemicals maximize application increase economic feasibility biomass processing bioenergy. This study analyzed juice from screw-pressed sea aster fennel their different phenolic compounds pigment concentrations. Antioxidant enzyme inhibition activities were also tested vitro. Extracts had contents up 45.2 mgGAE/gDM 64.7 mgGAE/gDM, respectively, exhibited >70% antioxidant activity several assays. Ethanol showed against acetylcholinesterase >50% tyrosinase α-glucosidase. Therefore, these species can seen feedstocks further investigations.

Crithmum maritimum L. is a perennial halophyte plant that medicinal herb known by people from different cultures since ancient times. However, the therapeutic potential of this has not been completely investigated, and scientific data on it are limited. The purpose present study was to estimate chemical composition essential oil (EO) obtained aerial parts growing wild in Bulgaria, as well histolocalization secretory structures for synthesis accumulation volatile oils. results EO Bulgarian provide an opportunity reveal future applications various fields, such medicine, pharmacy, agriculture, food, cosmetic industry. Gas chromatography with mass spectrometry performed assess profile isolated EO. phenylpropanoid dillapiole identified major compound EO, accounting 34.09% total Monoterpene hydrocarbons represented 62.07% composition. γ-Terpinene, D-limonene, β-pinene were most abundant monoterpene In addition, histochemical localization stem leaves carried out. located cortical region mesophyll tissues form ducts. analysis confirmed lipophilic nature secretion duct cells. This first report related Furthermore, our indicate some possibilities evaluation activity species outline its agent. Also, studied prominent be used biopesticide, which environmentally friendly option compared standard pesticides.

Natural ingredients rich in antioxidants and polyphenols the forme of extracts, essential oils, organic acids have been used production different cosmetic products. In development new compositions, or improvement products already implemented production, evaluation user is great importance, as it directly affects demand for a given product. The present study aimed to produce phytocosmetic creams based on stearic acid with extracts dry flower fruit juice Sambucus nigra L. (S. nigra) investigatein parallel their potential substitutes conventional preservatives. obtained were determined minimum inhibitory, bactericidal activity using three bacterial strains (Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 27853, Staphylococcus aureus ATCC25923, Bacillus subtilis 6633). addition, antibacterial effect against Escherichia coli (BW 28357) was determined. our experiments we found that addition dried elderberry from S. emulsion does not disturb compositional system. conclusion, according results, flowers fruitsare appropriate use emulsions demonstated antioxidant stability properties.

This study involved the investigation of polyphenol and flavonoid content, antioxidant antimicrobial potential Hyoscyamus albus extracts. Four sub-fractions were obtained by successive extraction using methanol, chloroform, ethyl acetate. The extracts' yields counted total phenolic (TPC) content (TFC) assessed via spectrophotometric methods. activity was investigated DPPH test, Total Antioxidant Capacity (TAC), Hydroxyl radical scavenging potency β-Carotene/linoleic acid bleaching assay. valued against 08 strains pathogenic bacteria yeast. results revealed that CrE yielded highest extracted value (13,34%) lowest percentage yield EAE (1.46%). Interestingly, gave higher amounts polyphenols (186.55 mg GAEq/gE), whereas ChE showed (45.19mg GAEq/gE). Notably, both fractions contained levels flavonoids, correlating with their activity. Specifically, displayed (p<0.001) IC50 21μg/ml strongest capacity (EC50 = 50μg/ml). While is regarded as an excellent OH quencher a weaker close to synthetic reference standard (p<0.001). However, greater inhibition β-carotene impeded linoleic oxidation. Furthermore, tested extracts exhibited different degrees only extract proved effective yeast (Candida albicans). current confirmed important action, well significant effects These findings firmly underpin traditional applications this herb for treating ailments infection, could in fact be source natural antioxidant, antibacterial compounds.
