ABSTRACT
Pathogenic
brain
aging
and
neurodegenerative
diseases
such
as
Alzheimer’s
disease
Parkinson’s
are
characterized
by
chronic
neuroinflammation
the
accumulation
of
dysfunctional
or
misfolded
proteins
that
lead
to
progressive
neuronal
cell
death.
Here
we
demonstrate
a
murine
model
with
global
loss
CUL4-DDB1
substrate
receptor
WDR23
(
Wdr23KO
)
results
in
changes
multiple
age-related
hippocampal-dependent
behaviors.
The
behavioral
differences
observed
animals
accompany
stabilization
NRF2/NFE2L2
protein,
an
increase
RNA
transcripts
regulated
this
cytoprotective
transcription
factor,
steady
state
level
antioxidant
defense
proteins.
Taken
together,
these
findings
reveal
role
for
WDR23-proteostasis
mediating
capacity
hippocampus
potential
targeting
WDR23-NRF2
signaling
interactions
development
therapies
disorders.

we
reported
that

hypertrophic
phase

The
landscape
of
sex
differences
in
Colorectal
Cancer
(CRC)
has
not
been
well
characterized
with
respect
to
the
mechanisms
action
for
oncogenes
such
as
KRAS.
However,
our
recent
study
showed
that
tumors
from
male
patients
KRAS
mutations
have
decreased
iron-dependent
cell
death
called
ferroptosis.
Building
on
these
findings,
we
further
examined
ferroptosis
CRC,
considering
both
patient
and
mutations,
using
public
databases
in-house
CRC
tumor
cohort.
Through
subsampling
inference
variable
importance
analysis
(VIMP),
identified
significant
gene
expression
between
mutant
wild
type
patients.
