Abstract Accumulating evidence suggests that imbalanced oxidative stress (OS) may contribute to the mechanism of schizophrenia. The aim present study was evaluate associations OS parameters with psychopathological symptoms in male chronically medicated schizophrenia (CMS) and treatment-resistant (TRS) patients. Levels hydrogen peroxide (H 2 O ), hydroxyl radical (·OH), peroxidase (POD), α-tocopherol (α-toc), total antioxidant capacity (TAC), matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9), tissue inhibitor metalloproteinases-1 (TIMP-1) were assayed males CMS TRS, matched healthy controls. Schizophrenia assessed using Positive Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS). results demonstrated significant differences variables H ( F = 5.068, p 0.008), ·OH 31.856, < 0.001), POD 14.043, α-toc 3.711, 0.027), TAC 24.098, MMP-9 3.219, 0.043) between TRS patients For patients, levels correlated PANSS positive subscale r 0.386, 0.032) smoking −0,412, 0.021), while significantly negatively score −0.578, 0.001) positively body mass index 0.412 0.357, 0.021 0.049, respectively). Parkinson's disease (PD) is a complex disorder that arises from genetic and environmental factors. The current investigation endeavors to investigate the role of exposure organochlorine (OCPs) organophosphate pesticides (OPPs), recognized as main elements, in genesis PD. In this case-control study, 29 PD patients 51 healthy subjects were involved. Gas chromatography was performed measure serum levels chemicals (2,4-DDT, 4,4-DDT, 2,4-DDE, 4,4-DDE, α-HCH, β-HCH, γ-HCH). Furthermore, acetylcholinesterase (AChE) activity, arylesterase activity paraoxonase-1 (PON-1), several oxidative stress (OS) markers assessed. OCPs significantly higher than control subjects. addition, AChE PON-1, catalase superoxide dismutase 3 less controls. However, carbonyl protein, total antioxidant capacity, malondialdehyde, nitric oxide findings have indicated OPPs could contribute development disease. This potential linkage either be established through direct impact these on nervous system, leading neurotoxicity, or via an indirect route triggering OS.

To study the clinical effect of group cognitive behavioral therapy to one-on-one treatment on patients with early-onset schizophrenia. Totally,133 schizophrenia admitted Department Psychiatry our hospital from September 2020 2023 were selected and divided into a control an observation according whether was performed. The general demographic data collected, propensity score matching method used balance baseline 2 groups. Positive negative syndrome scale, Personal Social Performance Scale, severity illness (SI), efficacy index (EI) compared between groups after matching. After matching, 72 included in study. Compared group, PANSS decreased including intervention (P > .05). Both showed decrease before treatments. Negative Syndrome Scale reduction rate total response increased <.001). Clinical Global Impression (CGI) scores higher than those group. In CGI scores, there is significant difference that SI lower = .002), while EI Group beneficial improvement mental symptoms disease severity, social function, curative effect, which advocated popularized.

Methods In this case-control study, 29 PD patients 51 healthy subjects (controls) were involved. Furthermore, acetylcholinesterase (AChE) activity, arylesterase activity paraoxonase-1 (PON-1), several oxidative stress (OS) markers assessed. Results OCPs significantly higher than control subjects. addition, AChE PON-1, catalase (CAT) superoxide dismutase 3 (SOD3) less controls. Although carbonyl protein (CP), total antioxidant capacity (TAC), malondialdehyde (MDA), nitric oxide (NO) Conclusion findings have indicated OPPs could contribute development disease. Levels plasma superoxide dismutase (SOD), serum albumin (ALB) uric acid (UA) assessed. Results Compared HCs, exhibited lower performance as indicated by MCCB scores, including dimensions speed processing, attention/vigilance, working memory, verbal learning, visual learning. In group, total PANSS scores negatively all (all p < 0.05), except for attention/vigilance score. PANSS-negative PANSS-cognitive subscores learning 0.05). Feed efficiency (FE) is an important economic factor in poultry production, and feed conversion ratio (FCR) one of the most widely used measures FE. Factors associated with FCR include genetics, environment, other factors. However, mechanisms responsible for chickens are still less well appreciated. In this study, we examined pattern changes FCR, then delved into understanding behind these variations from both genetic environmental perspectives. Most interestingly, at front section henhouse exhibited lowest value. Further investigation revealed that laying rate high (HFCR) group was lower than low (LFCR) (P < 0.05). Cortisol, total antioxidant capacity (TAOC), IgG levels LFCR were significantly those HFCR 0.05), while BUN level higher We identified a 67 10 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) ovarian small intestine tissues, respectively. Functional enrichment analysis DEGs they might affect by modulating salivary secretion, ferroptosis, mineral absorption. Moreover, values relative humidity (RH), air velocity (AV), PM
