Cannabis sativa L. contains numerous compounds with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, including the flavonoids cannabinoids, particularly Δ-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) cannabidiol (CBD). Cannabinoids have an effect on endocannabinoid system (ECS), a cellular communication network, are, hence, widely studied for medical applications. Epidiolex®, 99% pure oral CBD extract, has been approved by FDA treatment of epilepsy. Nabiximols (Sativex) is oromucosal spray containing equal volume THC CBD, it commonly used as add-on unresponsive spasticity in multiple sclerosis (MS) patients. Several vitro vivo studies also shown that cannabinoids can be to treat various types cancer, such melanoma brain glioblastoma; first positive clinical trials anticancer THC:CBD blend temozolomide (TMZ) highly invasive cancer are very promising. The therapeutic potential of Cannabis sativa L. extract has gained significant attention due to its diverse medical applications. Sublingual administration remains a common delivery method cannabinoids; however, challenges often arise the inconvenient form and taste. To address these issues, novel bigel formulation was developed, combining water oil phases enhance stability bioavailability. This incorporates cannabidiol-rich hemp extract, hyaluronic acid for moisturizing properties, taste-masking agent improve patient compliance comfort. Using standardized rich in cannabinoids well-characterized terpene profile, printability bigels evaluated through 3D printing technology. A printout with known cannabidiol (CBD) cannabidiolic (CBDA) content 11.613 mg ± 0.192 CBD 4.732 0.280 CBDA obtained. In addition, release profile determine efficiency active ingredient—dissolved ingredient levels ranged from 74.84% 0.50 80.87% 3.20 80.84 1.33 98.31 1.70 depending on formulation. Rheological studies were conducted evaluate viscosity under varying temperature conditions, ensuring their usability. Findings suggest that this 3D-printed could significantly cannabis extracts, offering more convenient effective option patients. research underscores importance innovation cannabinoid therapies paves way further advancements personalized medicine.

Industrial hemp (Cannabis sativa L.) is a versatile and sustainable multipurpose plant for agroecology services zero-waste circular economy. While the focus has traditionally been on primary products like fiber seeds, nowadays there an increasing awareness of potential value by-products generated during cultivation processing. This article explores various methods valorizing industrial wastes, focusing their mineral biochemical composition, highlighting benefits utilizing what was once considered mere by-product. The apical basal leaves 12 varieties, six monoecious, dioecious, representing main by-product supply chain, were assessed (N, K, Na, Ca; Mg, Cu, Mn, Fe, Zn), chlorophyll, carotenoids, total soluble phenols contents, as well antioxidant activity. same parameters also evaluated in inflorescences; waste derived from both seed harvesting, which collected at three stages flower development four selected genotypes, together with yield chemical composition essential oils. Differences among genotypes tissues highlighted, showing diversifying utilization wastes. possible uses these residual biomasses are discussed based composition.

The interest in Cannabis sativa L. has been on the rise recently, driven by its potential applications various sectors, including food industry, medical sector, and other key areas. This crop possesses a diverse profile of essential fatty acids range bioactive compounds, which exhibit properties that are highly significant for functional ingredients nutraceutical purposes. objective this study was to investigate characteristic lipid profiles different plant parts (e.g., inflorescences leaves) ascertain their possible uses nutritional therapeutic fields. fat content material determined Soxhlet method, gas chromatography employed assessment selected compounds profile. In addition, some quality indices were calculated with purpose providing more in-depth discussion these aspects beyond traditional n-6/n-3 ratio. A distinct composition evident among parts. Compared inflorescence samples, leaves typically contain higher proportions SFAs, MUFAs, PUFAs, n-3 acids, along favorable ratio, may significantly impact value. Phytol-rich can suggest application as feed or even nutraceutical. Furthermore, occurrence hexacosane related antimicrobial antifungal serves enhance practical utility leaves. Notably, hemp not merely by-product, but rather offer applications.

One the most interesting groups present are polyphenolic compounds, which, due their specific structure, pronounced antioxidant and antihyperglycemic potential. This study aimed detect activity, including potential, water water–alcoholic extracts five commercially available hemp teas, followed by phytochemical profiling. Hemp aqueous ethanolic demonstrate potent properties. Ethanol better scavengers DPPH• OH•, while neutralize NO• better. Both types exhibit in catalase test moderate XOD inhibition. Furthermore, α-amylase inhibitors, stronger anti-α-glucosidase suggesting therapeutic for chronic diseases like insulin resistance or diabetes. Further detailed chemical characterization vivo studies needed validate these findings.
