Impaired
bone
healing
is
a
significant
complication

in
individuals
with
type
2
diabetes
mellitus
(T2DM),
leading
to
prolonged
recovery,
increased
risk
of
complications,
impaired
quality
life,
and
patient
morbidity.
Oxidative
stress,
resulting
from
an
imbalance
between
the
generation
reactive
oxygen
species
(ROS)
cellular/tissue
antioxidant
defence
mechanisms,
has
been
identified
as
critical
contributor
pathogenesis
T2DM.
Antioxidants
have
shown
promise
mitigating
oxidative
stress
promoting
repair,
particularly
non-enzymic
entities.
This
comprehensive
narrative
review
aims
explore
underlying
mechanisms
intricate
relationship
T2DM,
specific
focus
on
current
preclinical
clinical
evidence
advocating
potential
therapeutic
interventions
improving
outcomes
