Abstract The tomb of the young pharaoh Tutankhamen (KV62) is most famous in world. This has been subjected to long-term impacts from both flash flooding and major faults. As a result, it experienced varying degrees instability damage, which have progressively worsened over time. study represents geotechnical modeling calculations stresses deformation patterns using high-performance PLAXIS 3D software with jointed rock model. Numerical simulations were employed investigate effects fault intersecting on its stability. identifies main factors influencing stability ceiling antechamber burial chamber, failure modes key areas, current stage tomb’s was determined. These findings provide valuable suggestions for future reinforcement measures offer reference analysis other similarly complex underground structures.
