The article is devoted to solving the problem of controlling plasma electrolytic oxidation process used for applying protective coatings on aluminum alloys in potentiostatic mode. measuring unobservable parameters surface layer was solved by using indirect identification state system informative statistical characteristics population microdischarges. automated control structure developed and operation algorithm proposed.
