Festivals are significant markers of cultural heritage and community traditions. Nevertheless, every year, increases in pollution levels recorded during celebratory events, due to the overuse firecrackers. This study evaluated gaseous particulate matter (PM) concentrations using a gas sampler, alongside noise measured by sound level meter, pre-to-post-Diwali period 2023 2024 Malda, India, PM Warsaw, Poland 2024, DustAir dust meter. The results indicated that Diwali, PM2.5 PM1 exceeded standard set World Health Organization, while pollutants remained within acceptable limits. Since no standards for exist, criteria were utilized as benchmark. Additionally, on New Year’s Eve PM10, PM2.5, surpassed around midnight, range.
