Electronic waste (e-waste) is the fastest-growing stream on planet, yet it remains critically under-addressed in global management and recycling efforts. The rapid pace of technological advancement has led to increased consumption electronic devices, many which are challenging costly recycle efficiently. Insufficient infrastructure for e-waste resulted large quantities being exported countries with minimal capabilities. In these regions, often processed manually, exposing workers hazardous materials toxic elements commonly found components, leading serious health risks. E-waste consists primarily fibrous composite plastics mixed valuable metals reusable components. While recovered, remaining typically discarded, contributing significant environmental harm. Addressing challenges requires more than just solutions. United States, limited policies promote large-scale reuse practices, particularly among corporations. To build a sustainable approach, combination next-generation, cost-effective chemical technologies forward-thinking policy reforms will be essential effective reduction e-waste. This paper explores generation composition e-waste, highlighting its impacts due improper handling disposal. It reviews current emerging while examining opportunities management. Finally, discusses solutions future directions improving through innovative reforms, concluding recommendations circular economy approach.
