Aim: This study aims to evaluate the management of oro-antral communications (OAC) and fistulas (OAF), focusing on treatment strategies based defect size, epithelialization, presence sinus infections, while exploring both traditional emerging techniques. Materials Methods: The systematic review was conducted following PRISMA guidelines registered PROSPERO (CDR ID 623251). Using targeted keywords, articles in English published within last 10 years were analyzed from databases such as PubMed, WoS Scopus, selecting only clinical studies human patients. After thorough screening, 20 publications included qualitative analysis, among 734 initially identified. Results: Small OACs (<5 mm) managed conservatively with hemostatic materials, larger defects (>5 required surgical closure, Bichat flap proving highly effective for large defects. Innovative treatments using autologous bone grafts PRF showed promise supporting tissue regeneration. In cases sinusitis, combination FESS intra-oral closure techniques resulted high success rates infection resolution closure. Conclusions: Treatment outcomes OAC OAF are dependent size sinusitis. Multidisciplinary collaboration, along timely intervention adherence medical therapies, is essential successful management. Emerging minimally invasive procedures continue improve patient outcomes, offering hope more sustainable solutions complex cases.

Cyclooxygenase enzyme facilitates the conversion of arachidonic acid into pro-inflammatory compounds, resulting in formation prostaglandins, which contributes substantially to carcinogenic process. Objective: To analyze immunohistochemical COX2 expression various lesion oral cavity. Methods: A total 60 formalin fixed, paraffinized blocks (including 10 healthy mucosa cases, cases leukoplakia. sub mucosal fibrosis, dysplasia, well differentiated carcinoma, highly aggressive invasive squamous carcinoma) were randomly selected during period Jan, 2022 till Dec, 2023. Immunohistochemistry was done on each case for analyzing expression. Data statistically analyzed by using chi square test. P value < 0.05 taken as substantial. Result: It found that level high carcinoma compared with other lesion. Conclusion: Present study strongly supported involvement advancement precancerous lesions cavity malignant one.

This study aimed to investigate the expression of serine protease inhibitor kazal type 1 (SPINK1) and its carcinogenic effect in oral tongue squamous cell carcinoma (OTSCC). Design: Initially, bioinformatics analysis was conducted using data from The Cancer Genome Atlas Gene Expression Omnibus compare SPINK1 mRNA between malignant adjacent tissues. Subsequently, impact differential on survival other clinical variables examined. Additionally, histology microarray performed assess protein 35 cases Finally, alterations were evaluated determine biological phenotypes OTSCC, including proliferation, apoptosis, invasion, metastasis. Results: OTSCC tissues exhibit higher levels compared surrounding cancerous Notably, increased correlates with pathological N stage independently predicts overall among patients OTSCC. Conclusion: Suppression inhibited motility while promoting apoptosis. These findings suggest that may serve as a prognostic biomarker well potential therapeutic target for managing
